PDA
Yesterday, we told you about Daniele Watts, an African American actress and her white boyfriend who were arrested for public sex [here]. Danielle has now shared her story saying the officers did not arrest, but handcuffed her. She insists they were clearly racist because she was only showing affection, and they were fully clothed.
Daniele and Brian James, who did not mention that they were having sex, shared their story on Facebook. They said they were just having a nice time when policemen approached them and asked to see their ID cards.
Daniele said she protested because she knew she had done nothing wrong, and that was when they handcuffed her and put her in their squad car. Her boyfriend believes they thought she was a prostitute.
See more photos and Daniele Watts' Facebook comments below...

Bill Cosby To Black Americans - We Cannot Blame White People Any Longer
They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.
I can't even talk the way these people talk:
Why you ain't,
Where you is,
What he drive,
Where he stay,
Where he work,
Who you be...
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.
And then I heard the father talk.
Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.
In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

Innocent Black Man Arrested For Bank Robbery, Handcuffed And Then Left On The Curb
Local police in LA arrested television producer Charles Belk as he was walking from a restaurant, accusing him of “armed bank robbery and accessory to robbery of a Citibank.”
He was then cuffed and left by the side of the road for almost an hour. It took the police a total of 6hrs at the station to let him go, after finally reviewing CCTV that showed he was innocent.
Belk shared his story on Facebook describing the “life altering experience,” saying his only crime was fitting the description of a “tall, bald head, black male.”
WHEN YOU "FIT THE DESCRIPTION"!
It’s one of those things that you hear about, but never think it would happen to you.
On Friday afternoon, August 22nd around 5:20pm, while innocently walking by myself from a restaurant on Wilshire Blvd, to my car up LaCienega Blvd my freedom was taken from me by the Beverly Hills Police Department.
Within seconds, I was detained and told to sit on the curb of the very busy street, during rush hour traffic.
Within minutes, I was surrounded by 6 police cars, handcuffed very tightly, fully searched for weapons, and placed back on the curb.

US Navy Dismisses African-American Woman For Refusing To Cut Her Natural Hair
This week, the Navy announced that it was discharging Jessica Sims, who been a sailor for 12-years, for “failing to obey an order to cut off her natural hairstyle.”
The military has been under scrutiny for guidelines issued in March that critics believe were discriminatory toward African-American women. Those regulations;
“specifically forbid several hairstyles popular for black women who keep their hair natural, including twists, headbands, dreadlocks, or multiple braids that are larger than a quarter-inch.”
A former U.S. Army Major sharply criticized the regulations, noting they targeted “natural styles African American service women have been wearing for years.”

Don Lemon CNN Anchor On 5 Things Black People Should Be Doing To Fix Racial Profiling
CNN's Don Lemon hosting a townhall meeting on the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson is reminding many of comments he made after the Trayvon Martin's murder case. At that time, in talking about race, a lot of conservatives were asking why the media wasn't talking about other problems in the black community, especially the high rates of crime.
After the ruling on the case, Don Lemon felt it was time to address those issues and how to fix other ills that seem to be plaguing the community in general. He felt it was time for some tough love after Bill O'Reilly, FOX News host called out "black on black crime", saying;
The reason there is so much violence and chaos in the black precincts is the disintegration of the African- American family. Raised without much structure, young black men often reject education and gravitate towards the street culture, drugs, hustling, gangs. Nobody forces them to do that, again, it is a personal decision.
Don Lemon responded by saying, "He's got a point. In fact, he's got more than a point. In my estimation, he doesn't go far enough. Black people, if you really want to fix the problem, here's just five things that you should think about doing.

The photo of Darren Wilson, the police officer who shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown on a street in Ferguson, Missouri on August 9th has now surfaced.
Eye-witnesses said Michael was shot multiple times by officer Wilson as he turned around with his hands up, and autopsy reports confirm this. Michael Brown was shot six times, twice in the head and 4 times in the arm.
Darren Wilson, 28, claims the teenager rushed at him full speed before he opened fire.
A woman who claims to have witnessed the shooting has released a video showing officer Wilson pacing back and forth beside the lifeless body of Michael Brown in the street. A key annoyance of protesters is that Michael Brown was left in the street for hours before his body was taken away.
See the screenshots from the video below, it may be graphic for some people..

#MichaelBrown - Trayvon Martin's Mother Writes Open Letter To Bereaved Ferguson Family
Sybrina Fulton is the mother of Trayvon Martin and the founder of the Trayvon Martin Foundation. In an letter addressed to the family of Michael Brown, the Ferguson teenager shot and killed by a police officer, Trayvon Martin's mother tries to comfort them.
The letter was posted on TIME, and in it, Fulton writes about the, "exclusive yet growing group of parents and relatives who have lost loved ones to senseless gun violence." She writes;
To The Brown Family,
I wish I had a word of automatic comfort but I don’t. I wish I could say that it will be alright on a certain or specific day but I can’t. I wish that all of the pain that I have endured could possibly ease some of yours but it won’t. What I can do for you is what has been done for me: pray for you then share my continuing journey as you begin yours.
I hate that you and your family must join this exclusive yet growing group of parents and relatives who have lost loved ones to senseless gun violence. Of particular concern is that so many of these gun violence cases involve children far too young. But Michael is much more than a police/gun violence case; Michael is your son. A son that barely had a chance to live. Our children are our future so whenever any of our children – black, white, brown, yellow, or red – are taken from us unnecessarily, it causes a never-ending pain that is unlike anything I could have imagined experiencing.
