#Ebola - Nano Silver Proves Unethical As Health Workers Quit Over Lack of Government Support
The Nigerian health minister had earlier struck a deal to accept Nano Silver to treat Ebola patients from an unnamed Nigerian in the diaspora whom the minister claims discovered or invented Nano Silver [read here].
However, the US Food and Drugs Administration followed up his statement with a warning that the Nano Silver procured by Nigeria to treat Ebola is classified as a pesticide.
In a disappointing twist, the minister in Lagos yesterday said Nigeria has now abandoned the use of Nano Silver because an independent assessment shows the protocol they have can’t treat Ebola. He said Nanosilver failed to pass the ethical test, and so will not be used.
“You will recall that, last Thursday, I announced that we were ready to deploy an experimental drug, Nano Silver; it was not cleared by the National Health Research Ethics Committee.

Thieves Storm Ebola Center In Liberia Two Days After It Opens, Steal Blood Stained Sheets
Yesterday we shared how Ebola is ravaging Liberia, [see photos] and today, a mob descended on an Ebola Isolation Center in a slum in Monrovia, stormed the front gate and stole everything they could!
They stole the few gloves someone had donated after the center ran out, and the chlorine sprayers used to disinfect the bodies of those who die here, all the while hollering that Ebola is a hoax, chanting, “No Ebola in West Point! No Ebola in West Point!” .
They ransacked the protective suits, the goggles, the masks, took mattresses and bedding, utensils and plastic chairs. The police showed up but the crowd intimidated them.
And then mob left with all of the patients, telling them they did not have Ebola but malaria, and that the virus was a hoax. This is just such a nightmare, and will only lead to more infections!

The Rapist Is Also Somebody's Son - Indian Prime Minister Talks About The Men Who Rape
The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses the issue of rape in India during his speech to mark the country's 68th Independence Day.
He called on parents to also pay some attention to their sons, to find out what they do, their friends, and to talk to them to stop rape. And, in a country where a rape happens every 22 minutes, this is a welcome addition to the national conversation. Modi said;
“When we hear about these rapes our heads hang in shame. Those who commit rape are also someone’s sons. It’s the responsibility of the parents to stop them before they take the wrong path.”
"Even when they are only 12, young girls are always being asked so many questions by their parents, like 'where are you off to?'. But do these parents ask their sons where they are going? The law will take its own course but as a society every parent has a responsibility to teach their sons the difference between right and wrong."

Can you give us tips on how to be a successful woman?
It actually starts with character, personality and what beliefs. Everything wrong today actually started from the content of a character. Are you immoral or are you straight forward enough to actually say something and carry through with it. Is the content of your character strong enough? I believe that for you to be great in anything, you have to be someone anyone can trust.you believe in. It stems from your moral.
Can you define what success means to you?
I think success is when God is happy with you. When the closest people around you are happy with you and when your soul is at peace with you.

Nigerians Blame Minister For Ebola Outbreak, Ask For An Apology
In April, 2014, the Nigerian Minister of Information said the country had Ebola vaccines and drugs to cure the Ebola virus. Some people say this may be why Patrick Sawyer decided to come to Nigeria while sick, and have blamed the Minister that his ignorance could be the cause of Ebola in Nigeria.
As the virus began to sweep across West Africa, the Federal Executive Council had discussed the preparedness of Nigeria to deal with the Ebola Virus Disease, if or when it came into the country. Premium Times reported that Maku had said:
“Nigeria is ready because the Ministry has taken every precaution, including getting the vaccines and medicines in case there was any incident in Nigeria.
So far, there is nothing like Ebola fever in Nigeria, and Council was reassured that every step has been taken to ready our country just in case, infected persons come into the country from our neighbouring countries."
