Bobbi Kristina - Family Reportedly Told to Prepare for the Worst, Father Releases Statement

Bobbi Kristina, 21, the only daughter of late singer Whitney Houston, was found unresponsive in a filled bathtub on Saturday Jan 31. She was discovered by her husband who called 911 before she was rushed to the hospital where it was later reported that she was stable and still breathing. Some sites said she was in a medically induced coma because of brain swelling, and may be brain dead.

Now her father, Bobby Brown has spoken out on what happened, though he did not address the specifics of Bobbi Kristina's condition. He said in a statement;

"Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time." 

Author Roald Dahl Writes Emotional Letter Urging Parents To Vaccinate Children Against Measles

Roald Dahl is best known as the author of such books as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, and Matilda. The children's author lost his eldest daughter, Olivia, to measles in 1962, and two of his books are dedicated to her. In 1988, he wrote this letter to parents in the UK, urging them have their children vaccinated against measles.

With a measles outbreak currently growing in the United States, I think many parents need to read Roald Dahl and his personal experience with the disease. Such parents need to understand the seriousness of measles, the importance of immunization, and why refusing to vaccinate "out of obstinacy or ignorance or fear" is a dangerous path to thread. For theirs, and for other children too.

17 Year Old Lydia Ko Becomes Golf Youngest Number 1 Ever!

Born in South Korea and now living in New Zealand, Lydia Ko has become the youngest world number one in golf history by reaching the top of the women's rankings aged 17. Ko secured the number one ranking by finishing in a tie for second at the LPGA Coates Championship  in Florida.

Lydia Ko beats South Korean Jiyai Shin who had been the youngest player to top the women's rankings, aged 22 in 2010. She also beats Tiger Woods, who became men's world number one in 1997 when he was already 21. This makes her the youngest of any gender to reach the Number 1 ranking.

RIP Monty Oum - Viral Web Series Animator Passes

'RIP Monty Oum' has been trending on Twitter after the 33-year-old animator's employer, Rooster Teeth announced his passing earlier today. Oum had been in intensive care since late January after suffering an allergic reaction during a routine medical procedure.

A Go Fund Me page that was set up to help pay for the animator’s spiraling medical costs after weeks in hospital raised over $180,000 for a goal of $50,000. Monty's animated web series had been very popular before his death.

Condolences have been pouring out to Oum's family and his co-workers after the company posted a statement about his death on their website.

Suge Knight Charged For Murder - Faces Life In Prison

Suge Knight who was reported to have been involved in a hit-and-run last Thursday, has just been charged with premeditated murder in the death of one of his friends that died in the incident. Knight, 49, is accused of using his pickup truck to intentionally run over two men, killing one, at a burger stand in Compton.

The Death Row co-founder allegedly had an argument with the men. But he claims through his attorney that he struck the two men accidentally as he tried top get away from two other men who were threatening him.

Man Walks Naked On Freeway Wearing Only Cowboy Hat After Snow Storm

Travellers on the metro Detroit's freeway were shocked over the weekend to see a naked guy walking down the middle of I-75 just after a massive snow storm. One of them, Francis Gojcaj was able to make and post this video after seeing the man walking on I-75 in Auburn Hills on Sunday.

Gojcaj was very concerned that he stopped to see what was wrong with the man who was wearing only a cowboy hat as he strolled down the middle of the snow and ice-crusted freeway in bare feet.
Luckily, as you can see in the clip, someone must have called police and they soon arrive.

Auburn Hills police say the man suffered from a crisis medical condition and was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Police say it is unlikely that charges would be filed in the case.

Ashlyn Sullivan wrote a blog post in December 2014 that is still buzzing over the internet. Ashlyn works as a waitress in Wichita, Kansas and she wrote the post because six drunk teenage guys had given her a hard time at her work and made rude comments about her relationship.
