Bobbi Kristina is not happy that she isn't being cast to play any role, especially that of her mother  in the upcoming Lifetime movie about Whitney Houston. 

The movie will be directed by well known actress, Angela Basset, who is also a friend to Whitney after they acted together in Waiting To Exhale.

Bobbi Kristina went on Twitter over the weekend to respond to comments said to have been made by Angela Basset on selecting the best actress to play the role of Whitney Houston in the movie.

Angela spoke about the movie which is now in pre-production in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, and said she never thought of selecting Bobbi to play her famous mother because she didn't regard her as an actress.

T.I and Tiny Back Together? The Couple Attended BET Awards and Pre-Party Together

Rumors of divorce or at least a break-up have been trailing rapper T.I and his wife Tiny for months now after both had been noted subbing the other on social media. In many cases it has been T.I calling out his wife on pictures she posts on Instagram.

T.I also got into a street fight with Floyd Mayweather in Vegas last month [read here], and then a social media war with fellow rapper Azalea a couple of weeks ago [here].

Oscar Pistorius Had No Mental Disorder When He Shot Girlfriend Reeva Steemkamp

A panel of psychiatrists has found that Oscar Pistorius did not suffer from any mental illness that impacted his ability to know right from wrong when he fatally shot his girlfriend.

Pistorius, a double-amputee Olympic sprinter, has spent a month as an outpatient at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa, for a mental evaluation that the judge in his murder trial ordered.

The results state that Oscar Pistorius was able to understand the wrongfulness of what he had done, and appeared to remove the possibility that he could be declared not guilty because of a mental disorder. This would have meant that instead of prison for a guilty verdict, he would have been referred to a state psychiatric institute for care.

The US Supreme Court has ruled today, 5-4, that the government can't require certain "family owned and small business" employers to provide insurance coverage for methods of birth control and emergency contraception that conflict with their religious beliefs.

In a deeply divisive case pitting advocates of religious liberty against women’s right’s groups, the Supreme Court said today that two for profit corporations with sincerely held religious beliefs do not have to provide a full range of contraceptives at no cost to their employees pursuant to the Affordable Care Act.

In the case Burwell v. Hobby Lobby, the majority opinion was written by Justice Samuel Alito who insists that for purposes of the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act, closely held corporations should be regarded as “persons” and have their religious freedoms upheld.

The United States Reveals They Still Have No Idea Where Kidnapped Chibok Girls Are

The United States through Pentagon spokesman, Rear Admiral John Kirby, reportedly admitted that US troops in Nigeria have not found out where the abducted Chibok girls are.

“We don’t have any better idea today than we did before about where these girls are, but there’s been no letup of the effort itself,” Kirby said about the search for the over 200 schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram.

He also said that the US troops had decreased their surveillance flights in Nigeria, but explained that the overall search levels were unchanged due to international involvement, as there are now more flights by other countries including UK and France.

The report insists the U.S  is unrelenting in efforts to locate and rescue the girls.

Kim Kardashian has just revealed the horrible details of how she and baby North West were verbally attacked by a racist passenger in an airplane.

I thought one could escape such things in the first class section. But no.

Zendaya Is No Longer Involved in The Aaliyah Lifetime Movie

17-year-old Zendaya has backed out of her starring role in the Lifetime movie about late R&B singer Aaliyah, and is "no longer involved" in the project", a rep for the actress has confirmed today. The role may be recast or Lifetime may drop the entire movie.

The news of her departure comes less than two weeks after it was first announced that Zendaya would play the role of Aaliyah in the Lifetime biopic, tentatively titled "Aaliyah: Princess of R&B."

Zendaya had tried to push back to those who felt she should not play the singer, saying she was "black enough" since she had a African American dad. I guess those critics won.

Production was scheduled to begin this summer, and the network hoped for a fall release. But complications, and a new search for the lead, might warrant a push-back for the film.

US Army Officer Was Forced to Resign For Going Native With Girlfriend In Afghanistan, They're Now Married

A top Green Beret in the US Army was forced to resign in 2012 after it was discovered he was carrying on a year-long affair with a woman whom he had unofficially embedded in his Afghanistan unit.

He claims in court docs that baby North West is a spoiled brat who constantly screamed so loud his hearing was damaged. Further, while working with the family he says that North West spit baby food

Hello brides-to-be, have you booked your bridal train and photographer yet? I'm asking because there's a new wedding photo trend in town, for bridal trains and I think it's crucual you let your girls know, and the photographer should be strong-minded about it too.

It appears that more and more professional pictures have been making their way online, that show bridesmaids lifting up their dresses and showing off their naked bottoms for the camera. If the bride wants to join the fun, then she is free too.

Game of Thrones Gets World Cup Kits - Which House Would You Play For?

For her latest project, Spanish designer Nerea Palacios' has taken inspiration from HBO's Game of Thrones - taking into account family history, colours, and legacy, of course. 

Palacios also wants to work for Nike. She says so in her Twitter bio, and her website, I Want To Work For Nike, couldn't make her intentions more clear. For years, she's been crafting concepts for athletic wear, showing off her talents with the help of Photoshop. So this was a double resume.

Sisi Yemmie and Bobo Yomi's Pre- Wedding Pictures Show Sweet Love at the Beach Side

We were all very happy for fellow blogger Sisi Yemmie when she and fiance Bobo Yomi won the first season of My Big Nigerian Wedding [more details here and here].

Th prize package was N15M to cover everthing that has to do with their wedding and the countdown has started. Sisi and Bobo recently had their pre-wedding pictures taken at Elegusi Beach in Lagos.

The couple, real names Yemisi Aiyedun and Yomi Odusanya, will be tying the knot on July 18th, 2014 at the The Haven Event Center, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.

Jeremy Meeks, the handsome criminal who became internet sensation after his mugshot went viral may have found another career path out of crime, modelling.

And no, his tattoos will not count against him as Meeks  is being eyed by modeling agencies including Blaze Modelz for his ‘hot gangster’ look, according to reports.

The modelling agency thinks the revealing teardrop is edgy and sexy, according to TMZ, which claims a rival agency that didn’t want to give its name is also pursuing Meeks.

He could make up to $30,000 a month for runway jobs and campaigns with exclusive designers such as Versace and Armani, but he has to get out of prison first.

Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal aka K1 De Ultimate (KWAM1), is fast becoming a familiar face in Nollywood as he stars with Bukky Wright, Olumide Bakare, Jide Kosoko, Iya Awero, Orisha Bunmi and Yemi Blaq among others in Eko: The Blessing of Olofin.

The movie though yet to be released was shot in Ifo and Badagry, directed by Femi Bright and produced by Fola Onifade, MD/CEO of Spectacular Outdoors Limited.

According to the producer, the movie features a very large cast and the story will set the record straight on the true Lagos State. Eko, The Blessing of Olofin will answer uestions stirred by the controversy that happened a few months back, where people insisted that Lagos was a no man’s land.

President Goodluck Jonathan Writes on Government Efforts to Find Missing Chibok Girls

As if in answer to my question on the deteriorating security situation in Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan has written an article for the Washington Post about the Government’s efforts to find the Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram.

I have had to remain quiet about the continuing efforts by Nigeria’s military, police and investigators to find the girls kidnapped in April from the town of Chibok by the terrorist group Boko Haram. I am deeply concerned, however, that my silence as we work to accomplish the task at hand is being misused by partisan critics to suggest inaction or even weakness.

My silence has been necessary to avoid compromising the details of our investigation. But let me state this unequivocally: My government and our security and intelligence services have spared no resources, have not stopped and will not stop until the girls are returned home and the thugs who took them are brought to justice. On my orders, our forces have aggressively sought these killers in the forests of northern Borno state, where they are based. They are fully committed to defending the integrity of their country.
