First Look at Yaya DaCosta as Whitney Houston for Lifetime Biopic

As a big fan of Whitney Houston, I confess that I'm truly excited for the Whitney Houston biopic! And with this first look at model and actress Yaya DaCosta as the late musician, I must say that I am very impressed.

Yaya has the look down pat but the question some are asking is whether she will be able to portray the mannerisms of the legendary Whitney? We all have to wait and see...

BTW, did Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina really think she could've got the role? She should be happy at the nod to her mom instead of going off on Angela Basset [see here]. Oh well, you can never please some people.

Mommy Time - Jennifer Lopez and Daughter are Twins in Pink Lace

Jennifer Lopez and her 6 year old twin daughter Emme were photographed wearing matching pink lace outfits and purses today in New York.

Mom and daughter were attending the League of United Latin American Citizens' (LULAC) 85th National Convention, where JLo was a speaker.

Jennifer Lopez was also going to be introducing her reality show “Los Jets” about a struggling high school soccer team.

#DatingNaked will have the series premiere July 17 on @VH1, who will be watching?

So Dating Naked is a hookup show where two people meet up on a blind date but both are naked. And there are also group dates where everyone is naked. Like, really?

Supposedly, what they are trying to find out is if, it is "easier to find true love when you truly have nothing to hide?"

I don't watch that channel at all, but the series is trending on Twitter and I had to know what it was about. What do you think, who will be watching?

Chris Brown made headlines a couple of times last week when he shared photos of his girlfriend Karrueche Tran's backside on Instagram But I think they were trying to make a point about cellulite. Or maybe it was to show how her butt has grown over the years.

Today, Khloe Kardashian's new boyfriend, French Montana, also showed off her behind, not naked though on his social media. Khloe's famous butt is covered in dark brown bum shorts and it looks like she's lying in bed when he took the picture.

French had only one word to explain the photo #asssscap. Does that mean butt pads?

#JusticeForJada - Support Grows After 16-Year-Old Speaks Out on Rape Photo Meme #JadaPose

A 16-year-old Texas girl's photo of when she was drugged and raped became a social media meme #jadapose, and now friends and supporters are asking for #JusticeForJada

Jada appeared on KHOU 11 News and though minor sexual assault victims are not typically named, she gave them permission to identify her first name and broadcast her face so as to share her story and help raise awareness to stop rape. She said,

"There's no point in hiding. Because of the picture everybody has already seen my face and body. But that's not what I am or who I am."

This is certainly not who she is, she is a brave and strong young lady and we #standwithjada to stop rape and rape culture that thinks that rape is funny.

Halle Berry on Balancing Acting With Motherhood

Halle Berry spoke with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” to promote her new TV series “Extant” which is produced by Steven Spielberg and premiered on CBS last night.

In addition to what to expect from the sci-fi production, Halle talked about being a working mother, and how she coped with being a mother for 9-month-old baby son Maceo while shooting the Extant series.

Halle admitted that she was barely home and her husband Olivier Martinez would usually bring the baby boy to her set on location.

16-Year-Old Twin Sisters Who Wanted to Become Doctors Now Training as Terrorists in Syria

Somali-British teenage twin sisters, sixteen-year-old Salma and Zahra Halane, who aspired to become doctors, are feared to have relocated to Syria to train with the ISIS terror group. 

It is suspected that their elder brother, who quit school to become a jihadist fighter for  ISIS last year, may have been one of their major inspirations for deciding to join the group.

The girls were reputed to have achieved great academic excellence in school, achieving 28 GCSEs between them last summer. These exam results put them in the top 10 per cent of their year class at Whalley Range High School for Girls in Manchester.

It had been their dream to follow in the footsteps of their elder sister, who attends a medical school in Denmark.

Emmy Awards - Uzo Aduba, Orange is The New Black Nominated, GoT and Downton Abbey Face Off

They were favorites at the TV critics awards last month, and now Uzoamaka Aduba speaks on their Netflix show "Orange is the New Black" getting 12 nominations for the Emmy Awards;

"I'm just really truly grateful that they've chosen to recognize the entire cast. We're Team Orange all the way...We just got back to work and it's been really exciting to be back because we've really just been able to see each other. It feels like the first day of school." 

Uzo Aduba, is nomited for guest actress in a comedy series along with two other actresses in Orange Is the New Black. Uzo is born of Nigerian parents and attended Boston University, earning recognition for her acting with a performance in Translations of Xhosa, in 2003.

If you look at the date its 13 July 2010. The statement is for June 2010. That’s right. £60.25 paid in. £60.00 (my feeding money) paid out. And an ending balance of £0.25.

Woman Suffocates Her 11-Month-Old-Son Then Posts His Pictures On Facebook [Photo]

A New York woman, Nicole “Nikki” Kelly, has been arrested and charged with second degree murder after police authorities say she smothered her 11-month-old son, pictured above, before posting pictures of his dead body on Facebook. 

According to officials, she had killed the boy by putting a sheet over his face as she tucked him into bed. Kelly watched the tot struggle to breathe before callously leaving him alone to die. When she came back a half-hour later, she found him blue and unresponsive.

When the boy’s father, Kiam ­Felix Sr., arrived at the family’s Elmhurst home several hours later, he rushed the boy to Elmhurst Hospital.

Queens DA Richard Brown said that Kelly, when cops asked why she did it, allegedly said, “I reached my breaking point, I didn’t want him anymore.”

Dele Momodu has been married to his wife Mobolaji since December 1992 and they have four children - Pekan 20, Yole 18, Eniafe 17 and Korewa 10. 

The family have been spending time together since his second son graduated secondary school in the UK.

They all watched the Brazil Germany world-cup match that broke Twitter records. Dele tweeted the photos dring the match.

Speaking of polygamy becoming more acceptable to men and women [read here], I've never heard of situations where the marriage happens on the same day.

Well, Muhammed Maina took to Twitter to congratulate his brother, pictured above, who he says, "got married to two beautiful ladies all at once" on their "special day".

Baby Factory Owner Paying Pregnant Teens N150,000 For Boys, N100,000 For Girls Arrested

The Rivers State Police Command on Tuesday paraded three pregnant women and a 36-year-old man suspected to be involved in producing babies for sale.

The ‘baby factory’ suspects, who were arrested at Igwuruta in Ikwerre Local Government Area, on July 5, 2014, were identified as Odinchinma Nwala (25), Glory Anyanwu (22), Goodness Nwankwo (19), and Stanley Okechukwu (male, 36).

The Divisional Police Officer of Igwuruta Police Station, Mr. Bello Muhammed, told newsmen that they were able to apprehend the suspects after being alerted by well meaning Nigerians.

Muhammed, a Chief Superintendent of Police, explained that it got signals that someone was operating a baby factory in Umuehe in Igwuruta, Ikwerre Local Government Area.
