The Executive Chairman and CEO of EbonyLife TV, Africa’s first Global Black Entertainment and Lifestyle network, Mo Abudu, celebrated her 50th birthday on Saturday, 13 September 2014 at the grand ball room Oriental hotel, Lagos.
Notable Nigerians were present to celebrate with this woman of substance, inspiration and a beacon of hope to many, as she attains this milestone in her exceptional and eventful life.
The black tie and glam event started with red carpet from 6pm. The event was tagged "Mo@ 50...Celebrating Sisterhood" with the aim of celebrating women of distinction in different categories of life and business. 10 categories of unsung heroes were awarded for their quiet but extraordinary and exemplary achievements.

Mo Abudu, Obioma Imoke and EbonyLife Crew Have Fun In Calabar As ELTV Marks First Anniversary
EbonyLife TV helmed by Mo Abudu was launched to fanfare in July 2013 and has been on air since then, with new, syndicated and exclusive local and international programming.
The trailblazing TV amazon gathered friends and well-wishers of the TV station in Calabar yesterday to celebrate their first anniversary.
Among the attendees were Obioma Liyel Imoke, first lady of Cross River State, Noble Igwe, Debola Williams, Mrs Victor-Okigbo, DJ Zeez and other presenters of the TV station.

The Desperate Housewives Series Set For An African Adaptation By EbonyLife TV?
So, an “African version” of Desperate Housewives – the American comedy/drama series - is currently in development, for a summer 2014 debut. The show is being brought to Nigeria by EbonyLife TV. The new show will feature an African cast of new and established talents and will be filmed in Lagos, Nigeria, at Adiva Estates, a gated development in Lekki. This location has been identified as Africa’s own “Wisteria Lane”
