Nkiru Sylvanus Speaks On Stanley Duru - 'I Can Marry Him. No One is Above Mistakes'

Nkiru Sylvanus has finally broken her silence on the reports of a secret introduction or plans of marriage between her and Stanley Duru, Oge Okoye's ex-husband, [missed it, read here]. The actress denies any current relationship between them, and says she last saw him 2 years ago. Nkiru says she will not rule out the fact of being a second wife by marrying a widowed or divorced man, and it's possible that happens to be Stanley Duru, because no one is above mistakes.

She adds she was never best friends with Oge Okoye, just colleagues, and though they last met over 8 years ago, around the time Oge got married to Stanley Duru, Nkiru insists Oge Okoye can never accuse her of wanting to snatch her husband. Read excerpts from a interview sent to LIB below...

Nkiru Sylvanus was last year reported to have married Stanley Duru, the ex-husband of fellow actress, Oge Okoye [see photos]. However, the beautiful Imo State resident has recently resurfaced in Lagos and has also refuted that any such marriage took place.

Nkiru, who is shown above with fans at the Palms shopping mall in Lagos, told a PUNCH reporter bluntly, “I am not married.”

Last week, a blind item of a story went round the naija blogosphere that a popular Nollywood actress was set to marry her colleague’s ex-husband. After a lot of go arounds on the gossip vine, the names of the actresses involved has been confirmed as Nkiru Sylvanus and Oge Okoye.

Reportedly, Oge Okoye moved in with Amsterdam-based Stanley Duru in 2006 while he was already dating Nkiru Sylvanus in Nigeria.

Nkiru Sylvanus Defends Views On Being A Second Wife, Says She's Not Dating a Married Man

Nkiru Sylvanus said she'll consider being a second wife in an interview with Channels TV promoting her new movie, The Voice. She said,

“It depends on who and the condition. Yes (I’ll seriously consider it), if the situation is right and the person is a good person, because there are situations and conditions that can actually make you find the right person in the wrong place and at the wrong time.”

A lot of people did not appreciate her stance and called her out. So in a another interview with Punch, the actress has defended her comments and insists she is not dating a politician. She said;

Nkiru Sylvanus is promoting her new movie “The Voice", which premiere on Sunday 13th July, and visited the Channels TV studios for an interview on Sunrise.

On Nkiru’s personal life, the actress says she is single but not searching. When asked by one of the show's presenters if she could be a second wife,  the actress said yes.

“It depends on who and the condition. Yes, if the situation is right and the person is a good person, because there are situations and conditions that can actually make you find the right person in the wrong place and at the wrong time.”
