Sanusi Stuns In Family Photo With 3 Wives & Kids On Coronation As Emir of Kano

The photo above is of the Emir of Kano's royal family, former CBN governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi with his three lovely wives and their children. The coronation ceremony as Emir of Kano for the new Emir held three days ago and the family posed for some pictures including the one above. Love the unity, and nice smiling faces of the wives and kids but why is the Emir wearing dark glasses?

Emir of Kano, Sanusi, Denies Plans To Marry 17-Year-Old

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi Lamido, was earlier reported to be planning to marry the 17 year old daughter of the Lamido of Adamawa. The Emire has now denied those reports though he did not entirely say that he's not planning to marry a fourth wife. The Emir, who already has three wives, denied the report to Sahara Reporters via one of his aides.

The Emir said "that he fully supports the right of children not to get forcibly married before attaining the constitutionally stipulated age of 18 years". Sparking speculations there's still the possibility of his marrying a fourth wife, the Emir was said to have advised people to wait to see the real age of his wife if he decides to marry again.

The newly installed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was pictured after his coronation with his first wife, Hajia Sa'adiya [see picture here]. Sa'adiya Lamido Sanusi, née Ado Beyero, is the daughter of the recently deceased Emir of Kano, a princess and now a queen as her husband, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is crowned the new Emir of Kano. Sanusi Lamido is a grandson of the Emir before Ado Bayero, meaning that the two are cousins. Kissing cousins, you could say. The couple have known each other since they were little and have been married for 26 years.
