How do you roll your toilet paper? Funny enough this is one of those mundane but everyday stresses that affect marriage, and even break up some relationships. There are two other bathroom ethics that compare to the toilet paper debate - the toothpaste tube and the toilet seat debates. These issues can nag away at couples who do not agree about them, and because we use the bathroom everyday, each morning or evening is an opportunity for another disagreement.
Some say the ultimate debate is whether the toilet paper should roll over or under. Lucky for Atala and I, we're both roll overs. And it seems the majority of people in America, up to 70% agree with us that the toilet paper hangs over. Definitely over! It used to irritate me mildly when it's under lol (sometimes I fix it myself :-D)

ReplyDeleteI quite agree with you, Nikkisho and 1+, I'm definitely a roll-over. As for the toothpaste, yes, my dad taught me to start from the end...and as for toilet seats, or rather seat covers, I'm a bit undecided. I like seeing the veeery clean water in. The toilet bowl. If it's covered I sub-consciously think it's dirty. But on the other hand, looking at the beautifully embroidered seat cover when it's down is a sight for sore eyes! So... :D

ReplyDeleteAnd my family's in the 20% that will flip a roll if they think it's facing the wrong direction. I know because I change it to OVER, and the next time I come, it's UNDER and I have to change it back. UGGHHHHHHH, sooooooo ANNOYING!!!!
Oh I'm most def over and I usually change it if it was under. Thing is most unders do not care but most overs care to have it correctly. I knew there was a debate because years ago, Scott ran this over or under commercial on tv. My sis always does under and I've let her know she is an alien several times by referencing her to online articles.
ReplyDeleteI like roll under while husby prefer roll over so we reach a compromise not to use either of the method but our hands,for the toilet cover it has to be down mean while husby doesnt think is necessary so instead of arguning over that i took it upon myself to always close the toilet seat he is now learning to do so willingliy. as for the toothpaste we press it anyhow.

ReplyDeleteI hope my future hubby is nt particular abt all this things Ooº°˚ cos for this 3 anything is fine for me. But for the toilet cover I will prefer it open cos I like to see that the toilet is clean when its cover I think its not clean.
