Nurse Nina Pham is now Ebola free after being successfully treated at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland. She met with president Obama at The White yesterday where to her delight, he asked for a hug. She happily obliged :)
Nina Pham was the first person to contract Ebola in the US, she contracted the deadly virus while treating Liberian Thomas Eric Duncan at the Texas Health Presbytarian Hospital in Texas. After a few days there, she was moved to the NIH hospital in Bethesda.
The hospital is just in the backyard of the president at the White House in DC and so when President Obama heard she was Ebola-free, he asked for her to come and see him. During the meeting, he asked if he could hug her and she agreed. These are the pics.
