Virgin Bride to Be Has The Cake to Show It - "Officially" Breaking the Hymen
I may be wrong, but is that a bloody vagina on that cake? Well, what is that they say, the more things seem to change, the more they remain the same. Back in the days, when a woman got married, a white sheet was put on the bed before she has sex with the husband, and a blood-stained sheet needs to be seen by all the next day, or yawa will gas for her.
How To Know If Online Dating Is Right For You
By Emma Carey
In the fast-paced world in which we live, finding someone special can be difficult. Not only do most people lack the time to socialise but you may also lack the confidence to approach new people, especially if you’re newly single. Online dating has become increasingly popular in recent years and has now become a perfectly acceptable way of finding ‘the One’.

The Season of Open Letters - Iyabo Obasanjo Writes to Father Olusegun Obasanjo
I found this letter especially noteworthy because we rarely have whistle blowers, and I often ask why not? One of the reasons is our culture of family ties, loyalty due to friendship, and the fear/respect/awe of the young for anyone older. In this letter, Iyabo Obasanjo breaks all the rules. I do not claim to know the veracity of all aspects of this letter, but I found lots of it very insightful on how government is run in Nigeria and the mindset of those who get involved in politics. Read Iyabo's letter in full below...

Book Excerpt - The Christmas Ultimatum by Unoma Nwankwor
“Mr. Rice. What are you doing here?” she asked, wrapping her arms around herself.
“It’s nice to see you again, Ola. To answer your question, this is my office.” He extended his hand.
Olanma hesitated at first and then took his hand in a firm handshake. The first and last time she saw him, was when he came to visit Zara in New York. She was still sore over Derrick and that day he must have smiled at her funny because she’d let him have it. She was not going to be another girl that he could add as a notch to his belt considering his reputation. Olanma had stormed out without as much as a backward glance. She had since apologized to Zara but didn’t expect to see him here today.
