Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde On The Meaning of Success, Her Childhood And Staying Scandal Free
Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed that she had a humble background and still feels passionate about the divide between poverty and wealth, Makoko and Island. The actress, activist and philanthropist also talks about what success means to her, her fears, achievements and being scandal-free. Excerpts from the interview, with Sunday Sun, follow...
Can you give us tips on how to be a successful woman?
It actually starts with character, personality and what beliefs. Everything wrong today actually started from the content of a character. Are you immoral or are you straight forward enough to actually say something and carry through with it. Is the content of your character strong enough? I believe that for you to be great in anything, you have to be someone anyone can trust.you believe in. It stems from your moral.
Can you define what success means to you?
I think success is when God is happy with you. When the closest people around you are happy with you and when your soul is at peace with you.

Arianna Grande's follow-up album, My Everything, will be released Aug. 25, and the three singles that precede the album have a different sound from her 90's infused R&B debut Yours Truly.
This new album is more forward looking, going by the collaborations with young, and currently popular artistes in the already released singles. There's "Problem" with Iggy Azalea, "Break Free" with Zedd, "Bang Bang" with Nicki Minaj and Jessie J.
In her cover interview with Billboard magazine, the 21-year-old singer says she was "a very weird little girl" while growing up. Her mother feared she would become a serial killer.
40-Year-Old Man Dies Of Heart Attack After Ice Bucket Challenge
I wrote yesterday about Bill Gates taking up the Ice Bucket Challenge, but really the act may not be so fun and not for everyone [read here].
Forty-year-old Willis Tepania, a father from Kaitaia, reportedly died of a cardiac arrest, five hours after participating in the ice challenge, which also included consuming nearly a liter of bourbon.
Tepania, who took the ice challenge, and followed it up by gulping down almost one liter of Jim Beam bourbon on Saturday night, died of a heart attack, after five hours.
Tepania reportedly went asleep soon after the challenge. It was only several hours later that it came to the realisation of his family that he had suffered from a cardiac arrest.
13-Year-Old Malavath Poorna - The Youngest Girl To Climb Mount Everest
Malavath Poorna, a 13-year-old Indian girl whose parents are poor farmers successfully climbed to the top of Mount Everest, making her the youngest girl to do so.
The Indian girl said she met with a Nepalese climbing team on the 25th of May in Tibet, who agreed to guide her through the adventure.
However, speaking to the media on Wednesday in New Delhi, the young girl said it wasn't such an easy task as she battled with extreme cold, dead bodies, fear and difficult climbing conditions as she was climbing up the world's tallest mountain.
According to her, "tears of joy" flowed uncontrollably when she made it to the top of the mountain and saw "mighty mountains and morning sunlight" all around her.

When she saw the foreign phone number flash up on her mobile, British Alex Lanchester’s heart skipped a beat. It had been several days since she’d spoken to her American fiancé Tucker Blandford, and she couldn’t wait to tell him how she’d found the wedding gown of her dreams.
She’d been longing to discuss the arrangements she’d made for their big day – the invitations she’d bought, the photographer she’d booked, the bridesmaids’ dresses she’d chosen. Continue below...
And she wanted to tell him how she was counting the days until they were together again.
So her blood ran cold when the voice at the other end of the phone cracked with emotion and she heard the words: “Alex, this is Tucker’s dad. There’s no easy way to say this... I am sorry to say that Tucker is dead.”

Nigerians Blame Minister For Ebola Outbreak, Ask For An Apology
In April, 2014, the Nigerian Minister of Information said the country had Ebola vaccines and drugs to cure the Ebola virus. Some people say this may be why Patrick Sawyer decided to come to Nigeria while sick, and have blamed the Minister that his ignorance could be the cause of Ebola in Nigeria.
As the virus began to sweep across West Africa, the Federal Executive Council had discussed the preparedness of Nigeria to deal with the Ebola Virus Disease, if or when it came into the country. Premium Times reported that Maku had said:
“Nigeria is ready because the Ministry has taken every precaution, including getting the vaccines and medicines in case there was any incident in Nigeria.
So far, there is nothing like Ebola fever in Nigeria, and Council was reassured that every step has been taken to ready our country just in case, infected persons come into the country from our neighbouring countries."

Bill Gates Bathes Himself In Ice Water After Mark Zuckerberg Passes On ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Bill Gates happily did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge after Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg - the first Billionaire to pour ice water on his head for the charity - passed it on to him, LOL...
Everyone gets to challenge three people to do the ice shower, and Bill Gates has named Elon Musk, TED curator Chris Anderson, and Ryan Seacrest of E!
.
The NBA got in on the action when Basketballer, Stephen Curry got his teammates to join him in accepting the challenge, and then he passed it on to Barack Obama, Oprah, and NBA commissioner Adam Silver. I know I want to see Oprah do this.

He however declined to give further details, saying the Minister of Health, Onyebuchi Chukwu, would hold a press conference later tonight to fully brief the media about the doctor’s recovery.
