#NigeriaDecides - Initial 2015 Presidential Election Results Are Probably Fake
Using the #NigeriaDecides hashtag for wider reach, the official INEC Nigeria Twitter account has warned that no announcements for the 2015 Presidential Election Results be made by any third parties. However, their threat has not stopped some sites from releasing unverified and probably cooked up and fake results for the elections which just held yesterday.
While it is very likely that most results from polling stations have been counted, I find it stretching credulity that LG level and State level results could have been collated overnight. It is probably advisable for all to wait till INEC to release final results in 48 hrs as they promised. APC may find themselves to be rejoicing too soon if they go by these results below...

nigeria elections
Some Nigerian celebs could not make the on-going elections because they had some prior engagements outside the country like the PSquare brothers and Flavour in London, while others chose to leave the country for their own personal reasons. However, I'm impressed by the number of people in the entertainment industry who chose to get involved and inspire others to do the same. Among them are Ini Edo, Timi Dakolo, Banky W, Mo Abudu, Kunle Afolayan, Mercy Aigbe, Segun Demuren, Mocheddah, and more...

A groom has tried to kill himself after seeing his "ugly" bride for the first time during the ceremony for their arranged marriage. Kang Hu, 33, claimed the bride Na Sung, 30, would be "bad for his image" after he walked out of the ceremony and threw himself in a nearby river.

Instagram Apologizes & Reposts Censored Period Photos After Open Letter
So how does this story end? Well, Rupi's activism - read open letter to Instagram here - worked and the photo has been posted back by Instagram! More importantly, the young woman has started a conversation that might help a few women out there come out of their prison of silence on their periods. Kudos to her! Read Instagram's apology below...
See Graphic Period Pictures Censored By Instagram + Poster's MUST-READ Open Letter
Rupi Kaur, a Sikh poet studying at the University of Waterloo, Canada, posted an image of her during her period as part of her photo-series project for a visual rhetoric course on Instagram. The photo shows Rupi in bed with a patch of menstrual blood which had stained the same sweatpants she's wearing above, and had also leaked on the bedsheet.
The photo was subsequently taken down by Instagram citing violation of the 'Community Guidelines'. Though not outrightly against any overt photo guidelines on Instagram, I imagine several people who saw the photo were offended and reported to the site to take it down, and they did. However, Rupi decided to re-post the photo and wrote a powerful open letter to accompany. See the photo and read her post below...

'I Have Stretch Marks, and I Wear a Bikini' - Photo Of Flabby Mom of 3 Goes Viral
The bikini photo below of 32 year old mom of 3, Rachel Hollis, has gone viral on Facebook with over 380K likes and tens of millions of views. And yet she was only trying to encourage other moms to own their flabby tummys and not be ashamed to show it off. Rachel's children are aged 8, 6 and 2 and it was during one of their few family vacations that her husband took the picture. She wrote with the photo;
"I have stretch marks, and I wear a bikini. I have a belly that's permanently flabby from carrying three giant babies, and I wear a bikini. My belly button is saggy ... (which is something I didn't even know was possible before!!) and I wear a bikini. I wear a bikini because I'm proud of this body and every mark on it. Those marks prove that I was blessed enough to carry my babies and that flabby tummy means I worked hard to lose what weight I could. Flaunt that body with pride!"

10 Very Important Safety Tips For The Upcoming Nigerian Elections
I saw this on Facebook, and knowing how various Nigerian media outlets have been hinting at insecurity around the forthcoming elections, I decided to share it here. Please my people in Nigeria, try to vote, but stay safe. These tips will help those who are not sure what to do. Take care.
1. Food
Stock up on food and water (at least 1 week’s supply) in case Markets and stores aren’t open or you can’t go out. Prioritise non-perishable food like those stored in cans over fresh food that takes time to cook and requires freezing (in case the power in your area is cut off). Don’t forget about cooking Gas! Or Kerosene.
