Why Would Any Mom Do This To Her One-Year Old?

Posted in: , ,

I am a fan of Chacha Eke and her adorable little daughter Kamarachukwu Darlene Faani, see preious pics here and here. The little girl turned one today and the actress just released these pictures from her birthday studio photoshoot..

Should you blame the first time mom, or whoever runs the studio for allowing these troubling pictures of a baby in full make up? And what's up with the old woman wigs too? And the phone, car keys, and porshe in the backdrop, what happened to colorful decorations for the little girl's hair and having cute back drops of toys and such?

If one wants to play dress up with their little girl, by all means! Ideas boku - professions, traditional outfits, play, outdoors, and more. This little girl looks overwhelmed and not a day under 50 with all the makeup and wig. I hate to call out any mom, but this is so not it!

My only consolation is that the little girl later looked to have some fun, and may be too young to remember this. But mom should hide these pictures or make sure there's a funny story to go with them.

Nigerian Government Reacts to Maltreatment of 17-Year-Old Student By Egypt Air

Posted in: ,

The Nigerian government through the foreign ministry has summoned the Egyptian ambassador, Ashraf Salama to formally protest the treatment of 17-year old Joshua Abdul-Azeez, during his botched trip using Egypt Air. The junior minister, Viola Onwuliri, accused Egypt Air of “child-abuse” for starving the teenager of food for three days, after wrongly routing his air ticket, and she demanded an unreserved apology from the Egyptian Government.

According to PremiumTimes, she said it was unacceptable that Egypt Air had failed to respond to repeated enquiries from the Nigeria Embassy in Cairo on what led to the treatment of the Nigerian student in Ukraine like a criminal.

In his defence, the Egyptian ambassador said the Nigerian media was to blame for escalating a “small incident’’ involving a Nigerian passenger and Egypt Air. He added that his embassy had contacted Egypt Air, which is wholly owned by the Egyptian government, and his home government on the incident but had yet to receive a formal report.

Below is the touching story from the young boy of how he was wrongly routed to Moldova instead of Kiev where he was to study medicine. From that mistake, he was stuck in airports over three days with no food, and then in Egypt, while trying to work out his situation, he was called a bloody Nigerian, and had his passport torn before being deported back to Lagos.

Archbishop of the Anglican Church Says It's Acceptable to Have Doubt, and Still Be a Christian

Posted in: ,

Some are coming for his head but I totally agree with the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby who has said he sometimes has doubts in his belief in God.

In an interview with BBC,  Bristol the leader of the Church of England said he doubted in “lots of different ways”. When asked about doubt by presenter Lucy Tegg, he said:

“It is a really good question. I love the Psalms, if you look at Psalm 88 that’s full of doubt. There are moments, sure, when you think, ‘Is there a God?’ ‘Where is God?'”

“The other day I was praying over something as I was running, and I ended up saying to God ‘look this is all very well, but isn’t it about time you did something, if you’re there?’

“Which is probably not what the Archbishop of Canterbury should say.”

The archbishop has recently completed a tour of the West Country and made his comments at an event called Standing Room Only at Bristol Cathedral.

Maternity Style - Chelsea Clinton Wears Husband's Shirts To Work

Posted in: , , ,

Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky announced in April that they are expecting their first child together, and just last month, she left her high paying job to get ready for baby.

In an interview with Refinery29, Chelsea revealed that at this point in her pregnancy, it's all about comfort.she said when asked about the styling tricks she relies on.

"[I wear] anything that fits over my belly. Increasingly, that's my husband's T-shirts or button-down shirts. So, the honest answer in the here and now is a different answer than it would be had you asked me a few months ago, or ask me again in nine months. But, for right now, it's really my husband's shirts, because they're the only things that fit me."
