Contestant Proposes to Girlfriend on America’s Got Talent

Posted in: , ,

America's Got Talent started last week but I missed out on the first episode. Today's episode more than made up for it as it had loads of talent, laughs, and even more specially, love and a proposal. One contestant named Travis Pratt auditioned with an opera song and ended it with a proposal to this girlfriend.

Dressed in jeans and Tshirt, I thought he was into urban dance, and even after he said he would sing, I imagined it was either pop or hip hop. Instead he broke out into an amazing opera aria, which ended with all the judges giving him a yes. He credited his girlfriend with encouraging him to come on AGT, after he would always sing to her at home.

Howie Mendel then asked his girlfriend to come on stage. When she said they had been together for 5 years, I guessed something was up, and sure enough, the contestant said he had a question to ask her. Next thing we knew, he was down on one knee popping the question. She said yes, of course!

Check out their sweet proposal video below.

BTW, there was also another contestant who performed a song he always sang to his wife, and he made it through too. Marty Brown performed a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love,” a song that I fell in love with as performed by Adele.

Who else is watching AGT? Do you have any stand out acts yet?

  1. 5 years? Wow!!! that's some time.
What if she just made up her mind the previous day to break up with him and he proposed to her with cameras flashing and millions of eyes watching? Guy got balls or trusts his woman's love.
    Quite sweet all d same.

  2. Yes, I remember that from last week's episode (with the wife and songs in the kitchen), all the romance on AGT though... too cute
