Christy Essien-Igbokwe Remembered - Family Revives Charity Foundation, Launches Final Album
Christy Essien-Igbokwe would have been her 53 today if she were still alive, and to celebrate her life and legacy, her family is set to launch a final album from her collection. To promote the event, which holds this Sunday, 17 November at the Intercontinental Hotel Lagos, her family shares some of her last images, photos of her work with the foundation in her final days.
At the media and VIP event, friends, associates, admirers of the late Lady of Songs, Christy Essien Igbokwe's will come together in Lagos to celebrate her heart, her art and her style.
The highlight of the event will be the launch of her anticipated last album, 'All of a sudden', due for release just before she passed. It will also feature the re-launch of her foundation, which was focused on her passion for children. It was called the 'Essential Childcare Foundation', but to preserve her legacy, the family is naming it 'The Christy Essien Igbokwe Foundation'.
That's certainly a worthy change, I didn't even realize celebrities in those days did charity work. God continue to rest her soul, her music and legacy lives on.
