Misfit - The Movie You Need To See

I went to the private screening of the MISFIT movie yesterday at Filmhouse Cinemas in Surulere, (see my pic below) The movie is based on the true story of a runs girl who was kidnapped by a mysterious group but decides to take charge of her fate by planning her escape.


According to the makers, House5 Production, Misfit was produced after a 2 year in-depth research on cases of abduction and victims of captivity in Nigeria. The film deals with several themes, including how our past affects our present and future, and what freedom and captivity means to us based on who we are.

Directed and co-written by Daniel Emeke Oriahi, a Nigerian filmmaker, whose work has gained considerable recognition and awards in Nigeria and abroad, the lead role is played by Ijeoma Grace Agu, a recipient of the 30-Nigeria-House Award and Nollywood Movie awards nominee (NMA2013) for fast rising female star.

So what did I think of the movie? I think it is a must see for everyone. Misfit premieres on Dobox today 16th November 2013 and would premiere in cinemas in December 2013.
