Betty Makoni on Let's Talk About It by One Harmony Radio

One Harmony Radio is hosting a live radio series, (Let's Talk About It) starting on 20th March 2014, which examines the dynamics of relationships, and focuses on the very thorny area of domestic violence. Chioma Nnani, authot of Forever There for You, is a guest presenter and explores relationships, expectations, and consequences with Sister Shamaiyah.

The first guest (for the 20th March episode) was Muzvare Betty Makoni, and she brings to the table, her passion and an incredible wealth of experience. She is, amongst other things, a Gender-Based Violence Expert for the UK Foreign Office, CNN Hero, widely sought after Speaker, Published Author, Ashoka Fellow, and Educationist.

Subsequent guests include representatives of charities (Southall Black Sisters, Aanchal, Men Against Violence), domestic violence survivors, ex-perpetrators, and gender-based experts on domestic violence. The series promises to be a no-holds barred, result-oriented affair. Religious leaders, psychologists, and counsellors also make appearances for the four-week duration of the show (from 20th March - 10th April, 2014).
