Jessica Alba Dazzles As She Throws First Pitch For Dodgers

While Jessica Alba is often known to dazzle on the red carpet, the Fantastic Four star stole a different type of show as she was handed the honour of throwing the first pitch for the LA Dodgers in their match against the Milwaukee Brewers. Accompanied by her two daughters, Honor and Haven, Alba spent some time warming up on the field at Dodger Stadium before throwing the pitch that got the game underway.

The 33-year old follows in the footsteps on swimwear model Chrissy Tiegen and LA Lakers head coach Byron Scott in throwing the first pitch for the Dodgers in recent years. Alba has been busy promoting the upcoming release of the eagerly anticipated Sin City sequel, but there were no signs of stress as she strode out towards the mount dressed in a white Dodgers jersey, jeans and blue trainers.

The Hollywood beauty was met by a pleasant reception from the fans in the stadium, who all welcomed the Los Angeles native warmly as she made her way to the mound before throwing a very acceptable pitch to kick things off.

While the actress may have been worrying about the pressure of throwing the first pitch in front of a packed Dodger Stadium, Alba appeared effortlessly cool as she made the Dodgers jersey look as good as it ever has.

Accompanied by some cut off denim jeans and a pair of stylish blue trainers, Alba looked a million dollars in an outfit that will have cost around $25.00. With her hair in a ponytail, the Sin City star may well have gained some new fans following her show-stealing appearance in Southern California.

Alba's presence couldn't stop the Dodgers dropping to a defeat against the Brewers, however, although the franchise are still in a great position to make the play-offs this year and Alba will be  hoping to bring better luck when she next attends a Dodgers game.

The ceremonial first pitch has long been a tradition in the MLB, often with hilarious consequences, and the Dodgers have been able to attract a string of huge stars to appear at Dodger Stadium in recent years, with the likes of Victoria Beckham, Ginnifer Goodwin and Cristiano Ronaldo all handed the honour over the past couple of seasons, each impressing in their unique attire and clothing style as they step up to the mound.

Dodgers fans will now need to try and forget about the sight of Alba throwing her pitch and switch focus to trying to play their part in helping the Dodgers get their season back on track, after a difficult few months that has shaken the confidence of anyone who has backed them outright for this year's World Series.
