Let's Talk About Bola Tinubu And Let's Talk About Aye Dee And His Politics

Posted in: , ,

So Mr Aye Dee, real names Mukhtar Dan' Iyan, may have a plan bigger and beyond the Linda Ikeji publicity stunt [yes that's what I'm calling it going forward] and it seems it is to get his hands dirty ahead of the 2015 elections.

With the people he's going after, it's of course obvious the camp he's in. BTW, what are the ties between this so-called "Africa and Middle East Public Policy and Security Expert" Dan'Iyan and Reno Omokri? How much is PDP paying him and and did Linda get any share for Aye Dee's profile boost?

Moving on, Aye Dee has alleged that APC National Leader and former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has criminal records in the US. He says that Tinubu and his wife were involved in the heroin drug trade back in the 80s and 90s and had to forfeit assets worth almost half a million dollars in order for the legal records of the crime to be sealed from the public.

Aye Dee adds that he "need not go into the issue of Bola Tinubu's real identity," alleging that the former governor's birth name isn't "Tinubu" though he did not say what it was. He also mentioned Tinubu's "falsified tertiary academic records" as another issue that he believes is in the public domain.

Aye Dee shared his alleged knowledge of Bola Tinubu's past on his Google + page, stating;

Speaking of, as much fun as we make of Buruji Kashamu for being wanted in the USA for Heroin distribution, Bola Tinubu and his wife, Remi, were also involved in the distribution of that drug in the late 80s, early 90s.

Their career in the drug trade was  cut short when they were apprehended by the US government.

To get off the hook, Bola (who was then a Senator in Nigeria) and Remi Tinubu struck a deal with Federal Prosecutors where they turned state's evidence and forfeited the  bulk of the assets they got from the narcotics trade. In exchange their criminal records were sealed, and all that was left was the civil forfeiture of assets judgement.

I have registered on the PACER.GOV website as Mr, Aye Dee advices and hope to verify his comments about Tinubu when I can access the site in about a week.

In the meantime, I think Mr. Aye Dee needs to do a full disclosure on his interests in the Nigerian political ecosystem.

What do you think?
