Nigerian-born Hollywood actor David Oyelowo, has worked his way up the ranks and these past two years have been great for his career.
Currently getting great press and reviews for his role as Martin Luther King, Jr. in Oprah-produced movie "Selma", about the late civil rights activist, David Oyelowo was also in Lee Daniel's The Butler, also with Oprah, as well as Lincoln, directed by Steven Spielberg and Mission Impossible with Tom Cruise.

During his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the talented actor joked with the host about the right way to pronounce his Nigerian name. He said his dad will be mortified as to how his last name Oyelowo, is being pronounced by Americans.
David Oyelowo, however noted that insisting on the right pronounciation would be hypocritical of his dad who was notorious for mispronouncing everyone’s names including Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise.
