Ludacris Wins Full Custody of 13 Month Old Love-Child From Short Fling

Posted in: , ,

Ludacris, real name is Chris Bridges, has been granted full custody of his 13-month-old daughter Cai, whom he had with ex, Tamika Fuller. The rapper-actor had been engaged in a court battle with Tamika Fuller regarding their daughter's child support payment amounts and custody, and on Monday, a judge found in favor of Ludacris.

If you remember, Ludacris got engaged and married Eudoxie on the same day just some weeks ago. He also has another daughter Karma, 13, from a previous relationship. Probably the judge thought he would provide a better home environment.

The happy dad said in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.

"After review of all the evidence, the testimony of the witnesses, the report of the guardian ad litem, and the claims made throughout this entire case, I am gratified that the judge found me to be the most fit and proper parent to have primary physical custody of our beautiful daughter."

The rapper took steps back in 2014 to legally acknowledge paternity of the love-child baby girl named Cai Bella Bridges, and born December 9, 2013. Ludacris had a short-lived fling with Tamika Fuller while dating Eudoxie who has been with him on and off for several years. Cai is the result of that relationship, and according to Tamika, Ludacris had asked her to terminate the pregnancy.

During their court case Fuller asked for an increase in child support payments and talked about Ludacris not being a fit parent because he was initially being against the pregnancy.

“I told him the same day that I found out. He was not happy, he cried, it wasn’t that he wasn’t happy but he did say you know that it wasn’t something we planned,” she said.

Tamika continued: “Get an abortion, the baby is not going to have a family, the baby is not going to be with the mother and the father at the same house.”

She also added that Ludacris said: “This is going to ruin his life, going to ruin his career.”

“He gave me the money for an abortion actually. It was $900 and change,” Tamika claimed, before adding: “I didn’t want to take his money at the time.”

Ludacris had earlier lamented that the court case was damaging his reputation and earning potential. He said he would be a better parent since he earns more, and was also of the opinion that Tamika was being greedy and would demand more than necessary for the child if she got custody.

I don't know how I feel about this though, the girl is still so young to be split from her mother. What do you think?

  1. It used to be the case that these women use these kids as leverage over their celeb-dads to get more money out of them. I heard (I haven't confirmed this yet) that she was receiving $7,000 monthly for child support and wanted it increased to $14,000. That's greedy. These women are out here looking for a big pay day by having these kids for these celebs and this is the fall out when the men begin to fight back. It's sad that this child is being used as a pawn in her parents' power struggle though. She is not going to get the care a mother can give being with her dad and his new wife. But then, who's to say that she will be getting that care being a mother whose dreams of a big pay out has been dashed? It's messy all around. But this is a lesson to these girls: spreading it for these guys does not equal a life of Gucci and gold. Period!
