Ready, Steady, Love: The Rules Of Commitment And Relationship

Posted in: , , ,

Romantic comedies have taught everyone what a happy relationship looks like. Everyone has dreams about what the perfect and ideal love story should be like. Consequently, everyone gets disappointed when real life doesn’t unfold in the way that films do. A relationship doesn’t just happen to grow on trees. It takes dedication, effort and some honest consideration about yourself too. So how do you make a relationship happen and how do you keep it alive? Here are some love thoughts for your romantic heart.
Are You Ready To Commit?
There is a big difference between wanting to be loved and being ready to love someone else. In other words, while you may be dreaming of a strong love story, you may not be ready to commit to the real thing. Indeed, being ready to commit to a relationship means that you can put someone else’s interest ahead of yours: Happiness needs to be shared, and not consumed single-handed with no respect for your partner. It is a big ask, and you need to understand that your partner’s feelings matter just as much as yours. As a result, you also need to be in a position to accept someone as they are.

Attract Mr. Or Mrs. Right

Feeling ready for a relationship is a great start. Being in one is a different thing altogether. But there are ways to adjust your behaviour and attitude to life to make it finally happen. How do you attract Mr. or Mrs. Right? Simply by recognizing your situation. If you are in a relationship that doesn’t satisfy you, it’s time to end it. If you have not been looking after yourself recently, it’s time to care for your body, soul, and mind. You won’t attract anybody if you are still dealing with emotional issues from the past. You need to fix the damages that previous experiences have done to your heart to be able to love again.

Get Mr. Or Mrs. Right Back

You might have already met the right person and let them go. If this is the case, you will need useful tips to get your ex-girlfriend back or boyfriend. The most helpful tip of all is to apologise for anything that went wrong. Be humble and wish them all the best in their life. This will put you in a better position to talk to them again. Then it’s about improving yourself to be able to show them that you are a better person now. It’s a long process, but it isn’t impossible!

Keep Mr. Or Mrs. Right

Last, but not least, finding the right person is good, but keeping them is better. In other words, you need to avoid destructive behaviours in your relationship. For a start, you need to accept that communication is part of a healthy relationship. This means that sometimes you may disagree with your partner. If this is the case, avoid anger and choose honesty and calm explanation. Never lie to them, in gesture or word. Saying your love them is not enough if your behaviour says otherwise. Finally, respect their boundaries and interests. A relationship is two people getting together; it doesn’t mean they submit to your will.
