5 Tips to Rekindle the Flame in Your Relationship

Posted in: ,

The beginning of a relationship is all butterflies and anticipation. You anticipate the first touch, the first kiss, the first night you spend alone and all the breakfasts in bed thereafter. Then comes the comfortable stage. You become so at ease in each other’s presence that you begin to do weird bodily things in front of each other.
You go to the loo in front of each other, brush teeth together, ask each other what ‘this weird looking lump is’ on your stomach, all the romance pretty much begins to fade away. Then the final phase is where you no longer care what you do in front of each other.

In fact, everything kind of irritates you, the way your other half leaves the door open when going to the loo, the way you both brush your teeth together and the way that weird looking lump stares you in the face.

But before pulling the plug on the relationship, ask yourself, is this worth throwing away and having to start over with someone else, especially when you know you will land up right here, or do you want to bring the electricity back without taze-ing one another.

If you choose your partner, here are 5 tips you could use to rekindle your relationship.

Gaming
Couples who game together stay together. Sure you may not be a Fortnite kind of girl or perhaps you aren’t a Sims kind of guy, but both of you need to find a middle ground. One route you could try as a couple is casino games. Try playing a game of roulette, poker, blackjack or any table card game really. The heat bring out passion, and those wins! Well needless to say, you may not even need to follow the remaining 4 tips!

Being Friends
Learn to become friends again. You both fell in love for a reason and what started as fun ended up in aserious relationship. Rekindle the friendship by talking again, getting in on the gossip, being the shoulder to cry on, being available at one AM in the morning because somebody’s boss sucks and you need to hear all about it. Be the friend your partner needs more than the romantic you think they want you to be.

Couple Activities
Find activities to do together. Suggest a run in the park, a hike up a mountain, a session at the gym, but be careful not to insinuate the reason you are looking for a couple’s activity is because the other needs to lose weight. This could go horribly wrong. But you get the point.

Party
Party! Go wild on a night out as a couple. Drink, be merry and have fun, you never know where the night will go.

Private Holiday
Finally, if you have the funds and you really are at a tethers end, book a romantic weekend away. This always rekindles what little flame is left and can be so good for the both you as you slip away from reality and discover each other all over again.
