Recently, the above photo of D’banj performing on stage in the UK went viral because it seemed the music star was getting a BJ by a female fan while he stood right there on stage with all other watching and the paparazzi clicking away. The picture has given rise to many different people weighing on the Dbanj brand all over again.

However, our favorite opinion piece is written by Joy Bewaji who says her post is NOT a love letter to Dbanj. But if you ask me, with the suggestions she makes in the article, Dbanj could do worse than pay close attention. Read below...

Azuka Ogujiuba Calls Out D’banj on Inviting Amber Rose For Anniversary, Alleged Debts & More

Azuka Ogujiuba has written a scathing article about Dbanj's 10th Anniversary show in which she calls him out for his supposed fawning over Americans, especially for inviting Amber Rose to host the concert. She did this in an article titled, "The Dbanj Brand : Dead or Alive" which was published on her column for Thisday.

The article was to be a review of the show but then goes into detail about D’banj‘s humble beginnings through her and a few other journalists, and how he blacklisted her after she wrote an unfavorable review of him. She also talks about Dbanj's split with Don Jazzy, his alleged debts, and how she thinks he should have handled his 10th anniversary celebration. Read an excerpt below..

So far, the news is that the D’Banj 10th anniversary party at Ocean View restaurant, which was hosted by Amber Rose went off without a hitch. The party had stars like Phyno, Olamide Badoo, Kemi Adetiba, Oritsefemi, Toke Makinwa, Hauwa Mukan, Sharong Ojong, Lami Phillips and more in attendance. Amber Rose Dances Shoki During #Dbanjat10 Concert

Amber Rose, who hosted the #Dbanjat10 concert, seemed to have a lot of fun with her Nigerian hosts at the event as she got on stage and danced to Shoki to the delight of the audience. She danced like a learner, which she probably is, but making the effort was quite commendable. I remember the angry remarks about Kim Kardashian's hosting of Dare Art Alade concert some years ago. D'banj and Amber Rose are stunning in their matching black outfits for the #D'banjat10 Anniversary Show. These are the first photos from the moment D'Banj walked his guest and host Amber Rose into the venue for the 10th year anniversary kick off party. The two entered arm in arm amid thick security with their faces flush with excited smiles and soon began to take selfies with other celebrities.

Changing out of the baggy Jeans shirt she arrived in, see here, Amber Rose flaunted her famous figure in a plunging and skin-tight gown that showed off her ample cleavage, her back and gold body chain. D'banj was the guest on the latest edition of the TRUTH with Olisa Adibua and he came prepared to share his truth with who ever was listening. He started by talking about how he was born in Zaria and grew in a military background, and how finding his late brother's harmonica started him on the journey that has brought him to this point.

D’Banj In Amsterdam As Court Summons For Bad Debt Overrun His House [Photos]

Nigerian musician D’Banj has been in Amsterdam for the past several days and in other countries of the world before then, including a few weeks in the US late last year. That was when the first news of his financial difficulties began to surface, with reports of pending legal action over unpaid thousands of dollars, read here.

A technology company, MindHub Technologies headed by Henry Ojogho claimed Dbanj was owing the company N15 million. Since then, things appear to have gotten worse. While Dbanj may be travelling on apparent philantropic missions and foreign endorsements, his staff are left unpaid and his house is plastered with court summons for bad debt.

Bonang Matheba Is More Than Dbanj's Alleged South African Girlfriend [Photos]

Bonang Matheba may have come into the Nigerian gossip columns as D'banj's alleged South African girlfriend but commentators from South Africa want us to know she's far more than some 'ordinary girl' or groupie. Twitter user Sibongile expressed dismay with the way Nigerian tabloids had described Bonang Matheba in recent reports of her alleged relationship with Dbanj. Apparently, in South Africa, she's known as 'the queen'. Queen of what you ask? Well, her website describes her as,

D'banj is back in the news in a romantic interest after supposed new 'Girlfriend' Bonang Matheba shared some loved up photos of the two. The South African media personality is currently in Nigeria for New Year and will stay over the weekend.

Just yesterday, Dbanj's previous known girlfriend, Polo Avenue manager Jennifer Obayuwana, got engaged, see photos to her new boyfriend, Dubai-based businessman Peter Salah.

In the photos of Dbanj with his reported new boo, she can be seen with the Oliver Twist singer, who is kissing her cheek above, or carying her in his arms.

DBanj Slams Naysayers, Thanks Fan Who Lists His 2014 Achievements

Dbanj, once touted as one of Nigeria's afri-hiphop pioneers, semingly had his profile plummet this year after he split with former partner and hitmaker, Don Jazzy. The music producer went on to form his own label with Tiwa Savage, D'Prince, Dr. Sid and others. Dbanj continued solo for a while and then also formed his label, Lee Records.

However, many commentators insist that he is not doing as well as Don Jazzy and that the only way Dbanj can climb back into the consciousness of Nigerian music afficionados is to get back with the producer. Dbanj's fans went on the same train of thought today after he shared the picture below.

I can't help thinking how this looks. Is President Jonathan now promoting Beats By Dre? The president was pictured with D'banj at the launch of the Youth Employment In Agricultural Programme #YEAP that held in Abuja, and just before Dbanj performed, he called up the president and presented him with the Beats By Dre customized headset.

BBA Hotshots Nigerian Rep, Tayo Faniran, may not have won, but life continues. Tayo who came second in the BBA season 9 is entitled to no consolation prize, meaning he came back to Nigeria with nothing. However, he's being showered with accolades from all sides since the end of the show.

D’banj Allegedly Sued By Tech Company Over Unpaid Debt and Dud Cheques

A Technology company, MindHub Technologies, has alleged that Dbanj is owing them the sum of  $240,000 and another  N15,000,000, and for not paying up as and when due, they have taken him to court. They claim that Dbanj has not denied the debts annd once issued them post-dated cheques, however the cheques bounced when they tried to cash them.

MindHub Technologies say they now only speak with Dbanj through their lawyers because all efforts made by them for him to pay have proved abortive. They say that since the case started last year, Dbanj has only paid them the sum of N8,600,000 out of the N15,000,000 owed, and has not paid a single penny from the $240,000.

Adama Indimi shared these selfies to raise awareness for sickle cell by rocking bold red lipstick. And she's showing off her diamond ring on her engagement ring finger.

Neither Adama nor Dbanj have confirmed their relationship or engagement, but the two sparked rumors they were officially together after she was spotted at Dbanj’s mum 61st birthday celebration. She also wore the ring on the same finger at that occassion.

With reports that D’banj may already have proposed to Adama Indimi, I took a close look at her left hand when she was photographed at his mother's 61st birthday, and it shows that she's wearing a large diamond engagement ring.

The birthday celebration was a private event and only very close family attended, the celebrants children, their significant others, and children. Adama Indimi could only have been there as Dbanj's SO.
