#JodiArias Sentenced To Life In Prison Without Parole For Boyfriend's Murder

#JodiArias was arrested in 2008 after the graphic murder of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, and has now been sentenced to life in prison without parole, after a long and difficult legal process. The judge called the crime "especially cruel" during the sentencing in court today. Alexander's body was discovered in his Arizona, home with a shot in the head and stabbed nearly 30 times. His throat had been cut from ear to ear.

Arias first said she had not been present when he was murdered, then when DNA proved she was lying, she said there had been a home invasion by two unknown killers. She finally admitted to the heinous act during the trial, with her lawyers claiming that Travis Alexander was a violent womanizer, and that she had killed him in self-defense during a domestic argument.

Ricky Jackson, was freed last year after spending 39 years in prison after he was falsely convicted for a murder he didn't commit, and will now receive around $1m as compensation from the state of Ohio. He was one of three men sent to death row in 1975 after being convicted of aggravated murder in the slaying of a businessman outside a corner store in Cleveland.

Prosecutors at the time of the case relied on the testimony of a 13 year-old boy to convict Mr Jackson, now 58. Years later, the boy, Eddie Vernon, who earlier claimed to witness the crime recanted his testimony and told authorities he had never actually witnessed the crime.

Marion "Suge" Knight collapsed in a Los Angeles courtroom yesterday after a judge set his bail at $25 million over his ongoing murder and hit-and-run case. This marked the second medical emergency the 49-year-old rap mogul has suffered during his legal proceedings in a little more than a month.

Several deputies rushed to his aid after he collapsed in his seat and he was later taken to a hospital. His lawyer Matt Fletcher told reporters that Knight collapsed from lack of food and medication for his diabetes and blood clots, which were diagnosed last year. He added that the music mogul did not eat anything before the hearing and last took his medication on Thursday.

Family of Woman Beaten to Death by Husband in Lagos Demand Justice

The family of late Obiageli Anajekwu,  who died two days after she was allegedly beaten by her husband, have petitioned the police for justice to be served on her murderer. The family wrote a letter calling on the Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Kayode Aderanti to intervene in moving a criminal case forward.

Obiageli was a 37- year-old graduate of Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and had got married to Anajekwu in 2002. After their traditional marriage, his business collapsed and he went back to Brazil where he was based with a promise to return a year later.

Mirjana Puhar, a recent "America's Next Top Model" contestant, was one of 3 victims found dead in a home that belonged to her boyfriend in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her boyfriend Jonathan Alvarado, 23, and Jusmar Gonzaga-Garcia, 21, his roommate, were also victims.

TMZ reports that a friend reportedly found the bodies after getting a call that gunshots were heard at the murder scene. He had gone to the house, saw 2 bodies -- Mirjana and the bf -- and then called police to report the killings.

A teenager has been arrested after he posed for selfie with classmate's dead body after shooting him in the face. 16 year old Ryan Morgan (pictured above) went to Jeannette High School with his alleged killer, and has been buried today. He was shot dead at his home in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday Feb. 4th by a classmate who then posed with his dead body, took a pictured and sent it to another friend.

The suspect and alleged killer, a 16 year old black boy, has now been charged with murder. He was charged with first-degree murder, homicide and possession of a firearm by a minor. He was arrested after police received a copy of the photo.

Mr. Henry Gagariga, a legal practitioner in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has died at the hands of his wife Victoria, who tragically stabbed him to death during an argument. Victoria, 28, and the 33-year-old Gagariga were married for less than one year and the unfortunate incident happened at their residence along Ebisam Road in Akenfa, Yenagoa.

She allegedly stabbed him on the neck with a kitchen knife following a quarrel caused by “a minor domestic disagreement.” Sources said the couple had lived together for some years before legally tying the knot in Yenagoa last June. They also revealed that this is not the first time the couple had quarelled, with the wife stabbing the husband with a knife.

Suge Knight Charged For Murder - Faces Life In Prison

Suge Knight who was reported to have been involved in a hit-and-run last Thursday, has just been charged with premeditated murder in the death of one of his friends that died in the incident. Carlos Pinto, 33, needed to be sedated after his partner Lucia Brum Padilla grabbed their two little daughters and jumped off the balcony of their flat, killing herself and the girls. This happened in Santiago, Chile.

The woman and her two children died after she jumped from the 30th floor of their apartment building while holding her daughters, aged one and two. The woman committed the murder-suicide following a row with her boyfriend, who is also the father of the two girls.

Woman Is Unrepentant After Killing Day-Old Baby

A 25-year-old woman in Ebo­nyi State, Ugochukwu Otu, has been arrested for killing her one-day baby girl soon after she was discharged from a maternity home. She killed the baby, put her dead body in a black polyethylene bag and dumped it in a bush near Ndibe beach road in her area, Sunday Sun reports.

Otu committed the muder on December 22, 2014 in Enohia Nkalu Afikpo North Local Government Area, Ebonyi State. She said she did it so that she would be free to live her life as she pleases and avoid the maternal responsibility of caring for the baby.

Mersane Warria was the major adult living with eight children found stabbed to death in a Manoora home yesterday, and now family and neighbours are speaking out about her erratic behavior before the discovery.

Police have revealed the victims were four girls, aged 12, 11, and two, and four boys aged nine, eight, six, and five, and five fathers had been informed that their children had been killed in the massacre.

Daniela Poggiali, 41, has been arrested and charged for murdering her patients in an Italian hospital just for pleasure.

The nurse was held after doctors at the hospital where she worked in Lugo, noticed that 38 patients had died during her night shifts over a three-month period. The average number of deaths for other nurses during the same period was ten.
