Wife Stabs Husband to Death in Bayelsa During Domestic Dispute [Photos]

Mr. Henry Gagariga, a legal practitioner in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has died at the hands of his wife Victoria, who tragically stabbed him to death during an argument. Victoria, 28, and the 33-year-old Gagariga were married for less than one year and the unfortunate incident happened at their residence along Ebisam Road in Akenfa, Yenagoa.

She allegedly stabbed him on the neck with a kitchen knife following a quarrel caused by “a minor domestic disagreement.” Sources said the couple had lived together for some years before legally tying the knot in Yenagoa last June. They also revealed that this is not the first time the couple had quarelled, with the wife stabbing the husband with a knife.

Unfortunately, during this incident, Victoria fatally stabbed Henry in the neck. Gagariga was said to have lost a lot of blood and later died at a hospital where he was rushed to for treatment. His body had been deposited at an undisclosed mortuary in the state.

The couple do not yet have any children. Victoria was identified as a daughter of a retired director in the state Ministry of Information from Brass local government area of the state. She is said to be an employee of the Bayelsa State Council for Arts and Culture. Her deceased husband was an indigene of Sagbama local government area of the state.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Asinim Butswat, confirmed the incident.
