Couple Love - OC Ukeje and Wife Step Out At Movie Premiere

OC Ukeje has stepped out together with his new wife, Ibukun Togonu, for the first time since getting married last November, see wedding pictures. The Nollywood actor and his Canada-based love were at the premiere of ‘Gone Too Far’ at the Genesis Deluxe Cinema, Lagos.

For a while, many fans were not happy that OC Ukeje was seen alone on the red carpet, and also without his wedding ring. He later explained that his wife took the ring away to be re-fitted for his new size after the wedding. Now those worried fans can breathe a sigh of relief and happiness. Though I'm sure no one is happier than OC to be with his new wife again after her trip. Wishing them more love...

"Love or Something Like That" was recently endorsed by UNAIDS, and had it’s London premiere last Friday 28th November 2014 at the Odeon Cinema in Greenwich, London. Starring OC Ukeje, John Dumelo & Joselyn Dumas, and written/ directed by Shirley Frimpong-Manso, all stars were present for the premiere.

Synopsis
A young surgeon’s chance meeting with her ex-boyfriend throws her world into absolute chaos when she makes a horrible discovery about her past and what could be the end of a great career, and beautiful marriage. A poignant story about moving on when there’s no light at the end of the tunnel.

Mikel Obi Returns From The World Cup To Grand Welcome From Amstel Malta

Mikel Obo returned to Nigeria yesterday after the World Cup in Brazil and received a warm welcome from his fans and also from Amstel Malta, for whom he is a Brand Ambassador. Though Nigeria may not have gone as far as any of us wished, Mikel also had his fans at the event.

Mikel was at the Nigerian Breweries HQ for a courtesy visit, along with other celebrities like OC Ukeje and Tee A and there was a good turn out of press and fans. Check out the photos.

Awakening - The Movie: Now in Nigerian Cinemas

It has echoes of Final Destination but the trailer shows that it is a totally Nigerian movie, even with ties to some time in history and to ancient gods or oaths.  I saw the trailers to this movie earlier and was impressed. Reading two positive reviews [here and here] made me publish this post calling on people to go see the movie for those in Nigeria. It seems they shot on a really small budget and had little left over for promotion. I think good producers and directors need to be encouraged, so go see the movie at your nearest cinema if you can.

I have contacted the director to ask for those of us who live in the US, if there is any chance that Awakening is coming soon to Amazon or Youtube for paid streaming? Or even Iroko+? There is also the option of Distrify? Nigerian movie makers should get with the diaspora audience already jare.
