Nick Loeb and actress Sofia Vergara between 2012 and May 2014, when the couple split. Since then, Sofia has moved on, and is now engaged to fellow actor Joe Manganiello. But her past is coming back to make headlines as she and her ex battle over frozen embryos they made in planning a family while still engaged in 2013.
Sofia and Nick were using IVF to grow their family and had completed the first part successfully, which entailed combining her eggs and his sperm into female embryos in preparation to getting either Sofia or a surrogate pregnant. However, the couple split before their plans could end in pregnancy and a baby.

Ondo Begins Spiritual Cleansing to Appease Gods For Epidemic - What Role Public Health?
A community of Ondo state is reported to have today begun the process of cleansing their land in a bid to appease the gods over a plague believed to have been brought to them by some persons who desecrated and stole from their shrine. The deadly illness that hit the community has killed at least 14 people so far.
The Ondo state commissioner for Information had earlier announced that the illness and sudden death is connected to an exhumed corpse. That the people who've died so far were those who had contact with the people who exhumed the corpse. But some people believe it is more than simply possible contact with pathogens in a decomposing body.

Open Letter To D’Banj - Enough of the Idiotic Dance Steps, Time To Reinvent Yourself
Recently, the above photo of D’banj performing on stage in the UK went viral because it seemed the music star was getting a BJ by a female fan while he stood right there on stage with all other watching and the paparazzi clicking away. The picture has given rise to many different people weighing on the Dbanj brand all over again.
However, our favorite opinion piece is written by Joy Bewaji who says her post is NOT a love letter to Dbanj. But if you ask me, with the suggestions she makes in the article, Dbanj could do worse than pay close attention. Read below...

Would You Eat This Disgusting Baby Shower Cake?
This is one of the most shockingly digusting things I'd ever seen, and I'm counting a deeply offensive black person cake served at an art gallery, and a virginity cake served at a bridal shower which I also found very disturbing.
When I first saw these pictures on Facebook I was stopped in my tracks and wondered what sick and evil mind came up with such an idea. Was it made by anti-abortionists as a protest art or what? And then to find out that a mom-to-be made the cake for her baby shower party, I shuddered.

Was Charlie Hebdo Racist? Cover With Kidnapped Chibok Girls Causes Controversy
Charlie Hebdo is the satirical magazine whose Paris offices were stormed on 7 January 2015 by Chef and Said Kouachi who killed 12 people - four of those dead were targeted as cartoonists for the french publication. The gun men shoulted that they had avenged Muhammed and Allah after the killings.
But while solidarity with the staff of the magazine has prevailed, with most condemning totally the actions of the Kouachi brothers, some voices have pointed out the perceived faults of the magazine in their politics. One of the accusations that stand out is that of racism, and many have used the above cover to illustrate the supposed heartlessness of Charlie Hebdo cartoonists.

Definitely Not Why God Made Girls - A Response To RaeLynn's Single
A new single from 2012 Voice contestant RaeLynn aims to provide the answer to why God Made Girls, but the lyrics prove to be the opposite of what she calls "girl empowerment". RaeLynn told Taste of Country: "There's just something so special about 'God Made Girls,' it comes from a girl's perspective and there's nothing like that on radio right now."
She sings; "He needed something soft and loud and sweet and proud/But tough enough to break a heart/Something beautiful and breakable that lights up in the dark/So God made girls."
I know some people may think she makes a good point, but come on, surely a woman's purpose in life has to b more than to pretty and hold a man's hand. What of those God made to be not so pretty, or to serve him and be single all their life?
See the video and more of the reasons RaeLynn thinks God Made Girls below, and tell me what you think....

Many People in Nigeria Are Manic But Don’t Know It - Charles Novia Writes On Depression
In his latest blog post, Charles Novia writes on the death of actor Robin Williams, who reportedly committed suicide due to severe depression, noting that mental illness sometimes goes hand in hand with creativity. The filmaker also makes reference to legendary Nigerian reggae musician, Majek Fashek, who he says is currently battling with depression.
Read what he said below:
I was having a conversation a day before Robin Williams’ suicide with my daughter, Nosa, about Majek Fashek and how I managed him and his career for 6 years (2005-2011) and released his hit album ‘Little Patience’ on my label, November Records.
When she saw visuals of how handsome and vibrant Majek used to look and his recent visuals of his emaciated and scraggly look, she was touched and pained. Especially when I told her that Majek is battling with a form of depression and other ‘spiritual’ stuff he has openly confessed to in some media interviews.

Wunmi Obe Attacks Robin Williams’ Widow In Scathing and Heartless Open Letter
Wunmi Obe has used the further news that have come to light since his death by apparent suicide to pluck what she says are gaping holes in the statement released by the widow of late American comedian Robin Williams.
Susan Schneider wrote of her grief, and heartbreak at the loss of her husband and best friend, and asked for privacy. Read full statement HERE.
But Wunmi Obe, married to husband Tunde Obe for 16 years - and I'm sure she has seen her fair share of the ups and downs of marriage, including bad health, bad finances, infidelity, etc - is not granting Susan Schneider that privacy. Wunmi is not even extending a hand of sympathy or understanding as someone who has experienced celebrity death in the family.
A seemingly very pissed off Wunmi Obe took to Facebook to comment:
Women Are Not Apples - Why I Don't Agree With Jim Iyke on Finding The One
Nollywood actor Jim Iyke shared the above picture on Instagram along with the write up below...
"Women are like apples on trees, the best ones are on the top of the tree. The men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and don't want to get hurt. Instead they get the cold manipulating easier climbs. So, the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality they are amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top because they value quality away from d spotlight. #bae #angeleyes
A lot of women see the analogy, place themselves where they will and either agree or disagree with him. Those who think they are at the top of the tree and are being praised by Jim Iyke and called wife material, are very happy. Those who may have had one or two boyfriends, feel chastised and unhappy.

And we say we are beyond race in America. If this post-racial, then I can only shake my head.

The agency released an ad seeking L.A.-based women to apply for one of several categories of extras that will be featured in the film. The breakdown is as follows:

Country Singer Tim McGraw Slaps Woman Who Groped His Groin During Concert
Country singer Tim McGraw may receive some flack for slapping a woman across the face during his concert recently, but I think she may have crossed the line!
Musicians may perform to entertain you, but they are not strippers or club dancers to grope in their private places!
The incident happened after Tim McGraw walked into the crowd during his show in Atlanta singing his hit “Truck Yeah”. The woman touched him twice, once on his knee, not too bad...and then right in his croctch.
It was after she copped her feel, Tim slapped her.

#bringbackourgirls - Patience Jonathan Please Stop Crying Fake Tears
Nigerian news is making me so heartsick. Almost 300 girls are missing, some may be dead! And how did we end up with people like Goodluck and Patience Jonathan in Aso Rock? I watched the president's media chat where he said journalists know more than he does, and now seeing videos of Patience, "There is God o" because your baseless committee was shunned?
