Women Are Not Apples - Why I Don't Agree With Jim Iyke on Finding The One

Posted in: , ,

Nollywood actor Jim Iyke shared the above picture on Instagram along with the write up below...

"Women are like apples on trees, the best ones are on the top of the tree. The men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and don't want to get hurt. Instead they get the cold manipulating easier climbs. So, the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality they are amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top because they value quality away from d spotlight. #bae #angeleyes

A lot of women see the analogy, place themselves where they will and either agree or disagree with him. Those who think they are at the top of the tree and are being praised by Jim Iyke and called wife material, are very happy. Those who may have had one or two boyfriends, feel chastised and unhappy.

The truth is simple. Women cannot be apples while men remain human men. Have you analogy but please be consistent. If women are apples, then maybe men can be worms, hawks, or they are apples as well?

OK, going beyond the simple, I hate men making themselves moral authorities over the life and bodies and choices of women. And do you notice that whenever they do it, they always pit the women against each other? Throwing in the camps where they feel they have to fight each other?

In Jim's analogy, the apples at the top are the best, and they are amazing and deserve the best men. The ones at the bottom, not so good. They are cold and manipulating, and get lazy men.

I'm just shaking my head.

I have a word of advice for Jim Iyke. Grow Up!

If you feel you are at the age where you want to get married, go ahead and do so. You're too old to come to the public to wash the head of your love interest, or maybe it's the opposite, and you're trying to hurt your ex?

Whatever jare, subbing is for juves.

And yeah, women are not apples. Deal with it!

  1. He didn't say women are apples, he said they are LIKE apples, so I find the first part of your rant unnecessary. That's not to say I agree with what he said, seems like he's just trying to console older single women or 'wash' them.
