Adaeze Yobo Defends Husband Joseph Yobo Against Criticism For Own Goal
Joseph Yobo has been criticised on various social media platforms for scoring an own goal [see here] during Nigeria’s match against France yesterday and his wife has come to his defense.
But really, it was not his fault, Enyeama had not thrown out the ball completely when it came from the corner kick by France. Joseph Yobo barely touched the ball before it moved further into the net. Seriously, any one can score an own goal, and it wasn't as if we were winning the match before then.
Anyway Adaeze Yobo did not take kindly to those yabbing her husband, especially on her own Instagram page. She slammed them while defending her husband Joseph Yobo and the Super Eagles.

Nigeria's Super Eagles Qualify For The Next Round At The World Cup
The Super Eagles, Nigeria's national team at the ongoing world cup in Brazil have just qualified for the next stage of the Mundial. Though the team lost their last match with Argentina, with 3 goals to 2, they have qualified to the knock-out stages as runners up in Group F. They are now the first African team to make it to the Round of 16.
And it is all thanks to Vincent Enyeama, who faced a flurry of shots on goal by Argentina striker Lionel Messi. There was also Ahmed Musa to equalize two of those goals that did get in, racking in some points the Super Eagles really needed to make it through.
Congrats to the Eagles and congrats to Nigeria.
Check out pictures below of Super Eagles supporters in Brazil, Nigeria, and around the world, celebrating the team.

Vincent Enyeama of Super Eagles Marks Wedding Anniversary With Wife
Vincent Enyeama, goalkeeper of the Super Eagles national football team, is happily married man with three beautiful children! He is just 31 so he must have started early. I remember back in Nigeria when I would cheer him on for my favorite local club, Enyimba. He has certainly come a long way.
Yesterday, Vincent Enyeama shared the picture above to mark his wedding anniversary. He did not specify on the date but thanks God for the entire month. He captioned the picture thus;
"My #MAGIC BAND. my#shining star. my#v29PR16. some years ago this month, we got it settled. thank GOD for this month.

USAvsGhana, Iran Vs Nigeria - What Happened? See Funny Yabbis and Picture Memes
I earlier wrote that Nigeria beating Iran was a done deal, while cheering the Super Eagles, but they proved me wrong. After the match, I consoled myself saying we can manage a goal-less draw for now, but my friends on Facebook are just not happy with the performance of Nigeria Vs Iran match.
Some of those supporting all the African teams wanted to console themselves with Ghana, but the Black Stars also lost, too bad. But I am pleased with that though, I am rooting for USA going forward. I no want heart attack with the sloppy way the Super eagles are playing.
And the yabbis are just starting. Where is my American flag jare...
As Nigeria Plays Iran - Pictures, Documentary + Fly With The Eagles Theme Song
Football unites Nigerians like almost nothing else. As the Super Eagles play their first game at the 2014 World Cup, everyone is prepared to cheer them on from all corners of the country and the world. Friends in the UK, Germany, and here in the US are flying Nigeria's flag for this big occassion.
Here on RML, we have collected some pictures, music videos and documentaries to encourage us all. The Fly With the Eagles theme song features Waje, Bez, Flavour and Ill Bliss, and was created as a World Cup TVC by Guiness to support the Eagles to Victory!
I really love the song and I hope it lifts the Super Eagles of Nigeria and they win against Iran. It should be a done deal.

Former Super Eagles player Daniel Amokachi is the current Assistant Coach of the Nigerian national team, and also a family man. Amokachi was recently pictured with his identical twin sons Nazim and Khaled Amokachi who are also budding footballers and once had trials at Everton’s youth academy. Like father like sons, eh?

Nigeria Beats Mali To Make it to AFCON Finals

One of my male readers on Twitter one day complained that I was talking love while Burkina Faso held Nigeria hostage. Well, let me talk some football, and since I've been monitoring the AFCON, it's an easy task. I'm happy to bring the good news that we made it, lol...
I'm so excited for Nigeria and the Super Eagles. Now let's bring the trophy home.
Nigeria cruised to a 4-1 win over Mali on Wednesday to reach the African Cup final for the first time in more than a decade.
Nigeria dominated from the start and opened the scoring with a header by Elderson Echiejile in the 25th minute. Brown Ideye added to the lead in a breakaway in the 30th and Emmanuel Emenike netted from a free kick in the 44th.
Ahmed Musa scored the fourth goal in the 60th as Nigeria ended Mali’s hopes of lifting the trophy to bring joy to the fans enduring political instability and conflicts back home.
