Taraji P. Henson Will Only Claim Her Man When He Puts a Ring On It!
Doing her bit to promote the hit Empire show, 44 year old actress Taraji P Henson was on the Steve Harvey show talking all things Cookie and Taraji. The mother of one explained why she hasn't opened up about dating any man yet, saying she can only do that when she is engaged or married. Talk about very high standards right?
Steve and Taraji are also long-time friends and on the episode, the two talked about the first time they met and how they worked together on the “Think Like A Man” films. Taraji also told viewers of her inspiring journey to become an Oscar-nominated actress, how she landed the role of “Cookie” and what it’s like to work with Terrence Howard!

Lee Daniels 'Empire' on Fox - TV's First 'Black Dynasty' Drama Series [Photos]
Raven Simone and girlfriend at Empire premiere |
I was surprised when I heard this morning on the radio that Lee Daniels is behind new TV drama, Empire. Lee Daniels is the director of last year's The Butler and also Monster's Ball with Halle Berry and Precious with Gabourey Sidibe. The latter also features in this new vehicle for black stars including Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard, among others. Naomi Campbell even makes an appearance.
The new Empire series is being hailed as a Black Dynasty as it showcase a black family squabble over wealth and inheritance. There is a drug dealer turned music mogul, Lucious Lyon, who after he's diagnosed with ALS, has his three sons, and his fresh-out-of-prison ex-wife, Cookie fighting for their shares of his empire. I'm excitied to follow the series and enjoyed pictures from the premiere, below...

Covers: Taraji P. Henson Talks Building A Hollywood Empire on Rolling Out Magazine
Hollywood actress Taraji Henson looks absolutely stunning on the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Out magazine. The actress is promoting her new movie with Idris Elba No Good Deeds out in cinemas soon.
In the inside story, Taraji P. Henson talks about building an empire in Hollywood, working in a mostly male dominated industry and more. Below are some highlights from the interview;
On what she is protecting in real life: Everything that I’ve worked for … I have built an empire in one generation. My son [Marcel] does not remember the bad times. I preach to him that he should protect it as well. I’ve done what my mother wasn’t able to do or her mother. That’s pretty huge. I emphasize him protecting it as well, with social media, [telling him to] be careful what you put out there. They are going to try to get to me through you.
