Couple Jailed For Killing 5-Year-Old Daughter By Forcing Her To Drink So Much Soda Her Brain Swelled

Randall Vaughn, 42, and Mary Vaughn, 59, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and aggravated child neglect and were sentenced to 35 years in prison on Monday in Rogersville, Tennessee. The cruel couple forced a five-year-old girl to drink so much soda and water that her brain swelled and she died.

The Vaughns – the father and stepmother of Alexa Linboom – made the schoolgirl down more than half a gallon of grape soda and water in just two hours. It was a punishment after the couple found the girl drinking a soda that they said was reserved for adults.

A Brazilian man arrested for stabbing a woman to death calmly confessed to murdering another 41 people - putting him among history's most prolific serial killers. Sailson Jose das Gracas, 26, told police in Rio de Janeiro he would go out 'on the hunt' for white women after studying each victims for up to a month.

In an unreported reign of terror spanning nine years, Gracas claims to have murdered 37 women, two men and one two-year-old child in the outlying area of Rio de Janeiro known as Baixada Fluminense.

Would you surety someone for court bail? I did this once and got my fingers severely burnt. I thought I was doing a good thing but the person I stood in for absconded and left me feeling empty and stupid.

The lady was arrested a few days to Christmas and I couldn't stand to imagine the kind of hell she would go through in detention. Also, only God knew how long the case would last, especially when she didn’t have anyone to help her in the police. She couldn’t even afford a lawyer to begin with, worse still she appeared so ignorant she didn’t seem to realise the kind of trouble she was in.

Woman Arrested For Making P0rn Films In Church Says She's An Angel

A woman was arrested in Austria after making some porno films in a church, and when charged to court, she claimed to be "an angel" compared to other sinners. Though her face was not shown on camera, the woman did not deny making the films after a man who attended the church and saw the films recognised her breasts.

The 29-year-old, identified only as 'Babsi', was speaking in court during prosecution by state attorney Alfred Schaumueller. She was given a three-month suspended prison sentence after she pled guilty, and will also pay fines to the church.

When asked what motivated her to make the porn movies in a church, she said: "Believe me, if you look at what other people get up to I am really an angel."

Alex Lewis, 34, was left fighting for his life when the normally harmless bacterial infection Group A Streptococcus, quickly turned critical, eating away at his flesh. He suffered multiple organ failure, septicaemia and toxic shock syndrome.

At the time of the first picture above in 1974, from left to right, Heather was 23, Mimi was 15, Nixon's wife Bebe was 25, and Laurie was 21, and . Over the years, Nixon and his wife went on to have 2 children.
