Bisi Alimi On Coming Out Gay In Nigeria, Death Threats and Living With HIV

Gay activist, Bisi Alimi may be based in London but remains one of the most prominent Nigerians fighting for homosexuals to be accepted back home. He recently took the fight to social media, using a picture of his white boyfriend to pass a message saying “love is love.”

Bisi Alimi described his boyfriend as the “best gift from life in a very long time”, and in a new interview with NPR, he opens up on the challenges of living as a gay Nigerian man, living with the HIV, and his relationship with his immediate family members.

Bisi, who was diagnosed with HIV in 2004 and came out as gay in 2007, says he's happy about the new Nigerian anti-gay law and it gives him hope. You can read excerpts from the interview below...

Alleged Nephew Slams Jay Z, Claims Beyonce Uses Voodoo To Distance Him From Family

A Twitter user who claims to be Jay Z's nephew went off on the rapper for distancing himself from his family because of wife, Beyonce while he had forgiven her sister Solange for disgracing him in a public brawl. The supposed nephew alleged that Jay Z may have become a slave to his wife because he disvirgined her. He however goes on to also suggest that Beyonce is using some kind of voodoo over JayZ because she spends a lot of her time in New Orleans which is where her sister Solange lives. #AirAsia Flight With 162 On Board Goes Missing Between Indonesia And Singapore

An #AirAsia flight QZ8501 which took off from the city of Surabaya in Indonesia and bound for Singapore, lost contact with air traffic control about 12 hrs ago and has not been heard from since. The plane went off radar about two hours after take-off, while flying over the Java Sea. It was carrying 162 people - 155 passengers, two pilots, four flight attendants and one engineer.

Crying and confused relatives of passengers have gathered at the Surabaya airport, where a manifest of all passengers has been posted publicly, but while search and rescue started almost immediately after the plane was declared missing, there has been no update on the plane's whereabouts.

Miley Cyrus and Chelsea Handler Post Nip Pics To Protest Instagram Topless Policy

First, Chelsea Handler, comedian and former talk show host, posted a topless photo of herself while atop a snow-covered mountain on a ski trip. Then Miley Cyrus also posted a topless photo of herself, above. Both women have been campaigning against Instagram's censorship policies, in support of the #FreeTheNipple movement. With her picture, Miley wrote;

Of course, posting female topless photos violates Instagram’s no female nipple policy and both Miley's and Chelsea's pictures were taken down within minutes. Chelsea Handler went ahead to post another topless photo on Twitter which allows it.
