'April by Kunbi' Narrates Daytime Armed Robbery Attack In CMS Lagos Traffic
Nigerian designer to the celebrities, Olakunbi Oyelese of the popular ‘April by Kunbi’ fashion brand has shared her experience of being attacked by armed robbers in broad daylight, along CMS road Lagos. She chalks the attack up to the dangerous security situation in the country, referencing the ongoing election campaigns as well as the terror attacks in northern Nigeria.

Cristiano Ronaldo has just been announced the winner of the 2014 Ballon d'Or, which is the award to FIFA's World Footballer of the Year. Ronaldo beat Argentine striker, Lionel Messi and German goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer to clinch the title. Ronaldo also won the title last year, and most people agree he deserves it. Congratulations to him.

I realized how much I'd loved Jennifer Lopez in movies while I was watching the trailer to her new movie Boy Next Door with young hottie Ryan Guzman before we saw Selma over the weekend.
Jennifer Lopez sure knows how to heat up the big screen and I'll surely be seeing the movie when it comes out later this month. Until then, it was also nice seeing her so fashionably attired for the Golden Globes red carpet.

Chris Brown was performing at a nightclub in San Jose, California, when all of sudden, according to eyewitnesses, someone in the crowd started shooting. There was blood everywhere, 4 people were reportedly killed while cops responded quickly to the shooting.
The incident left thousands, including Chris Brown and his crew rushing off the stage and exiting the building. Breezy later on left this message via Twitter to let everyone know that he was okay.

Various women shone Golden Globes during the 72nd annual award show Sunday. Maggie Gyllenhaal spoke for women after winning best actress in a mini-series for The Honorable Woman. Jane the Virgin' star Gina Rodriguez was so shocked by her win that she cried while giving her winning speech. Another win was by Julianne Moore for 'Still Alice,' for which she took home the best actress in a motion picture award.
The men were also represented as Kevin Spacey has just won the Golden Globes for the very first time, though he was as unemotional as Frank Underwood, the role that got him the win. I could only shake my head in sadness as I imagined what terrible things are being passed to these little ones who are supposed to be our next generation.
A twin bomb attack on a GSM market in Potiskum, Yobe State, Punch reports has led to the death of five people, including two female bombers, on Sunday while 46 others were injured. The attacked market is located close to the Brema Primary School along the Mohammed Idrissa Way in the heart of the troubled commercial town.
17 Year Old Falls From 18-Storey Building While Escaping Rape Attempt by Facebook Lover
17-year-old Ada Nba Agbazue has narrated how she fell from an abandoned 18-storey building while trying to avoid being raped and used for rituals by a man who pretended to be one of her Facebook friends. She is currently at the Ilemba Ajangbadi hospital in Lagos where she is being treated for multiple fractures and other injuries.
Ada Agbazue said she was lured to the abandoned storey building on December 26th by a man she purportedly met on facebook. The injured young lady said she is alive to tell her story from the sick bed to teach others to be careful of who they make friends with on social media.
Nigerian Student Dies In US Police Custody After Domestic Violence Report By Girlfriend
Matthew Ajibade, a 22-year-old Nigerian student in the U.S. was completing a degree in computer science before he died last week while he was in police custody. Ajibade was arrested on New Year's day after assaulting his girlfriend. She called the cops and when Ajibade became aggressive during the arrest, she reportedly told responding officers that he had mental-health issues and gave the cops his prescription bottle for his medication.
At the police station also, Ajibade again fought with the arresting and booking officers and was subsequently charged with "domestic violence, battery and obstruction of an officer.” He was then put in a holding cell where he later died.
Though two sheriff’s deputies have been placed on administrative leave after the incident, Ajibade's family want more answers to his death.
