#RIPLeonardNimoy - Trekkies Mourn Death of Original Spock From Star Trek
#RIPNimoy is trending and it's like a big chunk of my childhood is saying goodbye. Most afternoons and weekends back in Enugu, the Anambra Broadcasting Corporation back in those days fuelled my love of everthing beyond this earth by showing re-runs of all the Star Trek movies and the series too.
Spock and his open fingered gesture was a big part of that childhood, and it's so sad that Leonard Nimoy, the original actor who portrayed the extra-terrestial so succintly has now passed on. But that is time and change, which finally gets to us all. Leonard Nimoy made the news a few days ago when he had to go in to hospital for pneumonia. He passed away today at home aged 83. May his soul rest in peace.

I saw white and gold, like I said here, while Atala saw blue and black. Turns out he and others like him who saw the darker colors are right after all. For reasons why we all see different colors, read here. The real dress has been found and the colors confirmed. AND... it's selling out fast! So if you need one, go get yours now.

Parents Get Tattoos To Match Daughter's Birthmark So She Can Feel Special
Tanya Phillips along with her husband, Adam have, over the past few months gotten matching tattoos which look just like their daughter Honey-Rae's large birthmark. Their reason, they are scared that the rest of the public will bully her about the bright red patch all over her right leg, and are setting the foundation for the little girl to feel special about being different. Tanya says about the tattoos;
"Most people might think it’s very extreme but to us it was the natural thing to do to ensure our daughter never felt different or alone in the world. Some people will says it odd, but in our eyes all we have done is ensure Honey-Rae never feels different. Mummy and Daddy now have the same permanent markings as she does."
