Zen magazine chose to mark Nigeria's independence month with a cover featuring Adetoun Olupitan, a Nigerian-born model currently living and working in Chicago. Adetoun started commercial modelling in 2011 and over the last couple of years, she has worked with many influential industry professionals.
Adetoun has had many interesting experiences - from being the new face of international hair care company Organic Root Stimulator to having Naomi Campbell send her an autographed shoe by Prada - and she talks to Zen about these and how it feels to be modelling in America and why "this is the right time for African fashion".
