Meet our bride for today: Olaide Sotubo
Olaide contacted me for my services less than 2 weeks to her wedding. Though I had 2 clients already booked for that weekend, but still followed my guts and considered her request. Because of the short notice, we didn't do a pre-trial hence,I met her a day to her wedding. 3 clients, miles apart whew! ...trust me to pull them all off. Thank God it was a weekend, the road was free.
Olaide is such a pleasant person to be around, very loving, caring and down to earth. And oohh! A makeup artist's day is fulfilled when you hear you're the first MUA to work on your clients face *grin. This was her first major makeup ever and after it all, her sisters kept asking if it was really her. Glad I disvirgined that face.
For her traditional look, I dolled her face up with pop of colours. The eyes was a bit subtle while on the lips was a bright red ombre lippy. Because it was a day's event, I had about 15 min to to style her hair and change her makeup look for the reception. I decided to leave the eyes as it was but changed the lips to a cool subtle lips. Apart from her well structured face, she has a lovely smooth skin. Looking at her before the session, I knew immediately all she needed was going to be a light foundation coverage and Mineral powder to set her look
When a bride is determined to look her best on her day, she'd shun phone calls and pose endless for pictures, and this is what you get *wink*!
