Beyonce Shops for New Apartment Without Jay Z And The Elevator Fight Was Over Rihanna?

I don't want to believe that Beyonce and Jay Z could be anything but totally happy together, but with celebrity couples, who knows, right?

And now an insider who claims to know the couple very well says that Beyonce is shopping for her own apartment for herself and Blue Ivy. Bey supposedly looked at the apartment alone and "on the sly."

The $21 million penthouse apartment in Manhattan that Beyonce apparently looked at is less than half the size of their current apartment, and a source says that no way would Jay be "downsizing."


Another insider also claims that Solange wasn't pissed about Jay flirting with Rachel Roy, like some sources were thinking, but the fact that he planned to party with former protégé Rihanna later that evening, without Beyonce. This apparently led Solange to conclude that the two were having an affair.


Says New York Post's Page Six:

The source says the elevator fight after the Met Ball was really over Jay’s protégé Rihanna, whom he allegedly planned to meet later that night at his 40/40 club. “Solange was like, ‘Enough is enough — you must be [screwing] Rihanna,’” says the source. “To many people who know them, they know it’s not out of the realm of possibility.”

Today, the source says, it’s not whether they’ll split, but how they’ll split — adding that the only time Jay and Beyoncé are really together is on stage. They’re allegedly traveling with marriage counselors, but Jay — as he’s always done — spends much of his time on the phone, tending to business. “His phone’s constantly ringing,” says the source, “Jay trying to make deal after deal.”

The source also makes it clear that the marriage is mostly business -- with their roles as husband and wife coming in a far distance behind from their primary roles as King and Queen of pop music. Says the source:

They are business people first, entertainers second. Husband and wife comes somewhere down the line.

I'm still not believing that these two are anything but truly "crazy in love."
