Lauren Scruggs made headlines in 2011 after she walked into the still-spinning propeller of a small plane while exiting in the dark. She was hit in her left eye and severely injured her left hand. The arm had to be amputated and after surgery to remove the left eye, Lauren currently uses a prosthetic eye and arm.
After her recovery, the former model did not allow life to keep her down. Lauren turned her hands to fashion blogging, and also wrote a motivational book. And now, she is engaged and about to get married to the love of her life, E! News reporter Jason Kennedy!

How the couple met - A year after her tragic accident, E! newscaster Giuliana Rancic interviewed Lauren for her book, and then introduced her to colleague Jason because she thought they will make a good pair.
Lauren and Jason became friends and started dating soon after, and he proposed back in May as shown in the above picture.
