School Boys From Senegal Called “Ebola” And Beaten Up In New York School
Two brothers, 11 and 13 years old, have been beaten up by their fellow school mates in the playground after being bullied with calls of “Ebola.” Though they were born here, the boys emigrated to the United States from Senegal about a month ago, and were in the sixth and eight grade respectively.
According to NBC, the attack happened at the I.S. 318 school in Tremont, New York last Friday afternoon but the boys had faced unrelenting bulling from the other students for the preceeding two weeks. The boys had to be taken to the hospital for treatment due to the severity of the attack.
Their father, Ousame Drame, have spoken out about the incident and a group are helping him campaign for justice and more protection for his sons and other African children.
