Julia Roberts says actresses of a certain age are taking a very big risk when they don't get plastic surgery and it could greatly affect their career, both onscreen and offscreen.
Julia Roberts is now 47 and has three children, twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 9, and Henry, 7, after getting married 12 years ago to husband, Danny Moder. Soon after her marriage, the actress moved away from LA to a ranch in another state.
Now, Julia rarely appears in public except when she is promoting one of her new movies. She spoke about getting older in an interview with You magazine UK;
"By Hollywood standards, I guess I've already taken a big risk in not having had a face-lift.
"I've told Lancome that I want to be an aging model," continued Roberts, who has served as an ambassador for the beauty brand since 2009.
"They have to keep me for at least five more years until I'm over 50."
Julia Roberts however admitted that even though she stays away from surgery, she has had to find ways to keep herself looking young and vibrant, or good for her age. She says that includes, among other things, "studying yoga on a more conscious level."
"It's about non-grasping, non-hoarding, cleaning out your closet, dusting out your mind and letting go of the things that weigh you down mentally and emotionally.
"There's a lightness to my life now — an airy quality of not taking things too seriously. That's happiness"
