How Greedy Relatives Threw Stones At 2Face's Mother, Almost Stopped Burial Of Late Father

Posted in: , , ,

2Face Idibia recently completed the burial rites for his late father who passed away last August after battling prostrate cancer for two years. News has just come out of the hurdless he and his mother, Mrs. Rose Idibia, had to scale in order to lay their late father and husband to rest.

In fact, a day before the burial, 2Face's mother was attacked by their extended family members in the village - they blamed her for 2Face not spending as much money as they had demanded.

According to The Daily Post, the problem started shortly after her late husband died and the family invited the four children to inform them on what to do.

2face was instructed to build a befitting house for his father and also ‘grade’ the road leading from the nearest biggest city Ojapo to their home town Amufu, for easy access during the burial – and he promised to fulfil the obligations.

He kicked off the building project and the upgrading of the road immediately, however, the projects stopped without warning along the line. With no clarification from 2Face, family members became outraged and planned to humiliate him and his mother.

As soon as the funeral convoy reached the village and the widow alighted, village youths began to jeer at her, they threw stones and sticks at her calling her all sort of names and saying that she is wicked – some mockingly called her ‘Obu Michael’ (Michael’s husband).

She had to be sneaked into a room by her work colleagues who had come with her. 2face Idibia allegedly had to remain in his car with Annie and their two kids, Isabella and Olivia to avoid further humiliation.

A Reverend father from the local Mt. St. Carmel Catholic Church, Ojapo was called in to settle the case. Mrs. Idibia was said to have been crying as she related her own side of the story.

Is it not wickedness that you would call on someone who is mourning his father to come and start a building project? When my husband died, they informed my son to come and build ten bed room flat. He accepted and promised to do so, with the hope that a hug amount of money was coming his way. The building project started almost immediately but stopped along the line because of finance.

So, when they called to complain why money was no longer coming I called Tuface and he said because of the Ebola issue, the money he was expecting could not come that they should hold on till after the burial. But his uncle refused that the burial would not hold until Tuface completes the house.

When we finally came home with the corpse on Thursday, they began to boo me. Some wanted to kill me by throwing stones and sticks at me that I stopped Tuface my son from building in his village.

Hmm... my people, when are we going to stop this greed and disregard of those who are supposed to be mourning? Why do women get all the blame especially?

  1. Ha.....Is it Tu faces duty to construct road, is it really by force to construct road and house. These relatives self, when the father was alive, he didnt put his own son under pressure to do such things. So he should come and spend his hard earned money on just a day jamboree.

Tu face ,may God deliver you from wicked and greedy relatives. You shall live long to enjoy the fruit of your labour in Jesus name.

Nawa o God forbid anything happens to you now,is this what they will do to Annie?...Anyway i trust Annie,God will fight for her.
