Angelina Jolie in Dilemma - Should She Allow Her Young Children Get Tattoos?

Posted in: , , ,

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has several tattoos, and says she's worried about how to say no to her young children who have already expressed interest in getting their own tattoos. While she may be more OK with it, she says her husband and their father Brad Pitt, is horrified.

The couple are parents to six children, six-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, Shiloh, 8, Zahara, 9, Pax, 11 and Maddox, 13.

Angelina Jolie told Radio Times magazine that she did not want their children to follow their parents into the movie business, Mailonline reports.

'My kids rebelling would be if they all became brain surgeons. They're already asking me about tattoos. How do I say "No"?'

'It's especially hard for dads and girls,' she said. 'For some reason men get a little more sensitive when the daughter gets a tattoo. And Brad thinks the girls can do no wrong. He's mush in their hands!'

Jolie - whose tattoos include a large tiger on her lower back - told the magazine that if her children want to act 'they'll have to find a real job at the same time.

'But I'm hoping that when they see all the other things in the world, they'll be inspired to be writers, politicians, activists. They're very individual people. So I imagine they're not going to follow their mum and dad.'

Jolie, 39, is thought to have about 17 different designs inked all over her body. Brad Pitt is not exempt, and is said to have about 12 tattoos. Both are star actors.

What do you think? Would you allow your children to get tattoos while they're below 21, or at least still living with you? And what about them following in your footsteps, career-wise?
