Sarah Palin to PETA - My Son Didn't Eat A Dog, But Obama Did

Posted in: ,

Sarah Palin got into a bit of hot water when she posted photos of her six year old son Trig, who has Down's Syndrome, stepping on the family dog to reach the kitchen sink. She had captioned the photos; "May 2015 see every stumbling block turned into a stepping stone on the path forward."

PETA took issue and criticized photos saying that Palin had "no apparent sympathy for the dog" and that the organization "along with everyone else, is used to the hard-hearted, seeming obliviousness of this bizarrely callous woman."

Now, the former Republican VP candidate has written a long post on her Facebook page defending her son and excoriating PETA for being hypocrites.

This is the post and pictures that started it all...

In her response, Sarah Palin called out the organization for not denouncing one-time PETA woman of the year, Ellen DeGeneres for posting a similar photo on her show's Facebook page.

She also asked whether PETA went as crazy when President Obama "revealed he actually enjoyed eating dead dog meat?"

Washington Post points out that in his autobiography 'Dreams from my Father,' President Obama had written that he was "introduced to dog meat" while living in Indonesia, and that it was "tough". He did not elaborate on whether he enjoyed eating it or not.

Sarah Palin started the letter by saying, "Dear PETA, Chill. At least Trig didn’t eat the dog". She ends it, "Jill is a precious part of our world. So is Trig." You can read the full post below...
