T-Boz and Chili, the remaining two members of TLC after the death of third member Lisa Left-Eye, are planning a final album and they are asking fans to contribute funds to make the album. They thank their fans for 20+ years of support and say they need $150k for producing the music from beginning to end. So far, they have raised over $67k. The say;
We wouldn’t dream of making our final album with anyone BUT our fans. Come on y'all, BE A PART OF TLC HISTORY!
People who contribute stand to receive the following rewards based on how much they are able to give. $5 gets you an exclusive Kickstarter remixed single, and $10 a PDF file of a list of TLC's favorite songs. For $15, you get a digital copy of the album, and for $5k, you get a slumber party with T-Boz or Chili. The incentives also include fitness classes with Chilli and trips to the movies with T-Boz.
The group assures their fans;
This album, our FINAL ALBUM, is dedicated to all of you that have stuck with us, always challenging us to do our best. And of course, it’s for the new fans too! ;) We just want to put out great music that touches everyone. That’s it.
Our final album will stay true to the TLC sound, always confronting the real issues and life experiences that we all must face every single day, everywhere. We write music that people relate to...timeless music. No matter the trends, we feel like our music is always relevant.
