#NigeriaDecides - PDP Wins Delta, Rivers; Imo Inconclusive; Benue, Niger, Sokoto Goes To APC

Delta PDP candidate Ifeanyi Okowa wins

PDP governorship candidate in Delta state, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has been declared winner of the state governorship election. Senator Okowa pulled a total of 724,680 votes to defeat his main opponent Chief Great Ogboru of the Labour Party, who pulled a total of 130,028 votes.

Rivers State PDP candidate, Nyesom Wike wins

He defeated APC candidate Dakuku Peterside, with a total of 1,029,102 votes. Peterside polled 124,896 votes

Imo election inconclusive

INEC declared the Imo State Governorship election between APC candidate, incumbent governor Rochas Okorocha and PDP candidate, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, inconclusive. According to INEC results announced in Owerri yesterday, the APC candidate polled 385,671, while the PDP candidate polled 306,142.

Returning Officer in Imo state, Prof. Ibidapo Obe, said they were declaring the election inconclusive because of the number of canceled votes which was 144,715, compared with the margin of win by Okorocha which was 79,529.

Plateau APC candidate wins

Mr Simon Lalong, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State has been declared the winner of the state governorship election. He pulled a total of 537,050 to defeat his main rival, PDP's Senator Gyang Pwajok, who polled 501,938

Niger APC candidate wins

APC's governorship candidate in Niger state, Alh Abubakar Bello, has won the governorship election in the state. He pulled a total of 593,702 votes to clinch victory from PDP candidate, Alhaji Umar Nasko who pulled a total of 239,772 votes.

Sokoto APC Candidate Aminu Tambuwal wins governorship election

Speaker of the House of Representative and APC Governorship candidate for Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal, has been declared winner of the Sokoto state Governorship election. He pulled a total of 647,609 votes to clinch victory from his main contender, Senator Abdallah Wali of the PDP who pulled a total of 269,074 votes.

Benue APC's Samuel Ortom wins

APC governorship candidate in Benue state, Samson Ortom has won the governorship election in the state. He pulled a total of 422, 932 votes to clinch victory from PDP's candidate, Terhemen Tarzoor who pulled a total of 313,878 votes.

Kwara Governor declared winner

Incumbent governor of Kwara state and APC Governorship candidate, AbdulFatah Ahmed has been declared winner of the Kwara governorship election. He pulled a total of 295,832 votes to defeat PDP's candidate, Senator Simeon Ajibola who scored 115,220.

Kano State Ganduje of APC wins

Abdullahi Ganduje, the Deputy Governor of the state and APC gubernatorial candidate, emerged winner in the governorship race. Ganduje scored 1.5 million votes, to defeat Takai of the PDP, who got 509, 726 votes.

Adamawa State's APC candidate Bindo wins

Bindo Jibrilla of APC triumphed over 11 other contestants, amongst them, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, to emerge winner of Adamawa Governorship election. Declaring the result in the early hours of Monday, the Returning Officer of the election, Geofrey Okogbaa, said Jibrilla scored 362, 329 votes out of the 684, 050 total valid  votes cast, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

Nasarawa State Incumbent Governor Umaru Al-makura of the APC wins

The current governor retained his seat, scoring 309,746 votes, to defeat his closet opponent, former Information Minister, Mr Labaran Maku of APGA, who polled 178,983 votes, and three other contestants.

Kebbi State Atiki Bagudu of APC wins

APC won the governorship seat in Kebbi State, with its candidate, Atiku Bagudu, garnering  477,376 votes, to defeat 16 other candidates.

Bauchi State's APC gubernatorial candidate wins

Mohammed Abubakar won polling 654,934 votes, to defeat nine other contestants, including PDP candidate, Mohammed Jatau who secured 282,650 votes.

Jigawa State APC candidate, Badaru Abubakar wins 

Abubakar polled 648, 045, to defeat his closest opponent, Malam Aminu Ringim of PDP who scored 479,447 votes
