Congratulations are in order fot Tina Knowles, 61 and Richard Lawson, 68, her spanking new actor husband! Tina and Richard started dating in 2013, and became engaged last year. This will be his second marriage, as well as that of Beyonce's mom who divorced her first husband Mathew Knowles in 2009, after 30 years of marriage.
Tina and Richard got married this weekend on a yacht in Newport Beach, California, in an all-white ceremony. Beyonce shared the photo above on her site with well wishes to her mother and new step father.
The Knowles mom shows that she's the one who taught her daughters to always put a ring on it. Tina Knowles went from 'Single Lady' in 2009 to getting a ring put on it in 2015, after dating just a few men around her own age. In a recent interview, she talks about her dating life before she met new hubby Richard:
The whole thing about dating was the scariest thing in the world! I would tell my friends, ‘Where am I gonna find somebody at 59 years old? Where do you meet men? Where do you get them? And they’re all gone.’ It was really funny so I just focused on myself.”
