Throughout puberty she did not have periods, and doctors later discovered she had no reproductive organs thanks to a condition called androgen insensitivity syndrome. At 19, doctors told her she had XY chromosomes which genetically makes her male and that she would never conceive.

14 Shocking Things That Cause Infertility In Men And Woman
1. Injury
Did you know that the average man makes approximately 1,000 sperm every heartbeat? Crazy! But there are many things that can interfere with those sperm, and groin injuries are one of them. Wear a cup to play sports to prevent trauma to the testes -- which could result in rupture of the sperm ducts. Ouch!
2. Laptops
Could a laptop affect your fertility? Maybe, if you're a guy! That's because of a couple of reasons. Firstly, sperm are vulnerable to increases in temperature, and laptops are a source of heat. And secondly, there's a possibility that using Wi-Fi on a laptop might cause sperm damage. This isn't proven -- but if you're at all concerned, go ahead and keep your laptop off your lap!

Millen Magese Speaks On Living with Endometriosis and Retrieving Her Eggs Against Infertility
Millen Magese lives with endometriosis and she is no more afraid to say it out loud. Diagnosed 10 years ago, the 34-year-old Tanzanian model finally went public with her condition last March on the World Endometriosis Month.
She tells Radiant Health in their latest edition about living with endometriosis, being silenced by the taboo and stigma that comes with difficult health challenges, and finally finding her voice with the example of actress Rita Dominic.
Millen has had several miscarriages, had her ovary pack up, lost some of her fallopian tube, and in February, she faced her fears and underwent an IVF cycle so that some of her still surviving eggs could be retrieved and saved, a chance for her to have biological children in the future.
Though she knows the magnitude of speaking out about health conditions to do with sex or infertility, Millen Magese is adamant about the need to raise awareness, even if it is just to help one other woman.

11 Most Common Myths About Male and Female Infertility
1. 'He doesn't have any fertility problems; he's already a dad.'
Contrary to popular belief, male fertility is finite. Similar to female fertility, male fertility decreases with age, particularly after age 40.
Researchers have found a direct link between paternal age and an increased risk of autism and schizophrenia. Men pass along as many as four times more genetic mutations compared with mothers. As a man ages, the concentration of mobile, healthy semen and semen volume overall will decrease.

Infertility is a Medical Diagnosis
A lot of people still have various ignorant and unfounded ideas about infertility. Some believe it is a curse from the wicked witches in your village, or it is a sign from God for you to repent and be saved, or you need to pray more, or you must have had uncountable sexual partners; or had numerous abortions, or you need to resign from your job, etc, etc. It makes me wonder if those people have even bothered to read even the most general information on infertility?
