Mom Reunited With Daughter 49 Years After Birth Hospital Said The Baby Died

Forty-nine years ago, Melanie Diane Gilmore was born prematurely to gospel singer Zella Price and her husband in a St Louis hospital. Zella was told her daughter had died just after hours after being born, but the truth was that Melanie had survived. However, she was kidnapped or stolen and then adopted to another family. Yesterday, through the efforts of Melanie's children, the mother and daughter were reunited amidst tears of joy!

Melanie's daughter, Melika Jackson, and her siblings knew how much their mother wished to find her bilogical family and so with a name from her adopted family, they were finally able to trace Zella Price on Facebook. After some misteps, and following 100 questions and answers and a DNA test, it was confirmed that Zella was the biological mother of Melanie. Yesterday, RML reported the news, read here, that singer Angie Stone was arrested and charged with domestic aggravated assault after a violent fight with her daughter, Diamond Stone. Now, Angie Stone’s 30-year-old daughter Diamond has taken to Facebook to reveal the injuries she sustained during the assault by her mother.

Diamond confirmed that Angie Stone hit her in the face with a metal stand and knocked her teeth out. She also wrote about her mother wanting to keep the family's issues private while hurting her, but insists she will keep talking publicly till her side of the story is out there. Singer Angie Stone Arrested For Domestic Assault After Violent Fight With Daughter

Angie Stone was arrested in Dekalb County, Georgia on Tuesday and charged with domestic aggravated assault after a fight with her daughter, Diamond Stone, according to AJC.com:

According to a DeKalb County police incident report, Angie Stone said Diamond Stone hit her in the face with closed fists first. Diamond Stone and Blondy Chisolm, a family friend who witnessed the Monday night altercation, told police they were not sure who threw the first blow.

Bullied For Being Dark, Skinny And African - Tiwa Savage Opens Up In Birthday Message to Mother

Tiwa Savage celebrated her mother who added a year today with a touching message on Instagram. The singer shared the memory of how she was bullied for being dark skinned and how her mother helped her overcome it, and taught her good character in the process;

"During my high school days I was bullied for several years, I would get jumped on the bus, head flushed down the toilet and so on, it got so bad that I did something drastic and life threatening because I was so depressed. My mother was called to school on several occasions and each time she came she would ask to see the other students bullying me and would always pray for us all.

Of course they would joke and laugh but my mother was always so calm and reserved and she would take me home, cook me Naija food (we were living in london at the time) and she would make me realize how loved I was and how rich my culture is, how beautiful I am being a nigerian girl (I was bullied for being African, skinny, dark and I had a strong naija accent) what my mother didn't do was fight, shout or argue with the other girls or their parents (who were at times very rude and disrespectful) Instead she showered me with love and reminded me where I was from.
